It's all your fault.

Must put Cotton Buds on the next shopping list or I'll get shot . . .

I suppose it's my fault you went back to Cambridge and bought that pen? :ninja: LOL

Crikey Tas, that puts my efforts to shame.

I decided to have my OH do the 'faffing with the labels' for me, so he sorted me out a table in Word to help me to print them.

I haven't done all of mine yet, so here's a quick pic.

Ooo, Vert Empire looks nice . . .

No. That one I take full responsibility for.

Incredible pen. Scribbling with it now. My medium Sheaffer Taranis writes like my Pilot fine nibs do only more nail like. LOVE IT!

That's really neat compared to mine, Chrissy

Trust FPN-ers to take a simple card indexing system and customise it in so many ways. We're quite a creative bunch aren't we? :)

Ooo just noticed your Meisterstuck Diamond. I was thinking about tracking down a bottle of that.

Actually I quite liked yours Migo, but I couldn't trust myself to write my inks without making a mistake, so I thought that the labels would work. I still had to remove the MB Royal Blue and do it again because I stuck it on crooked.

re the MB Meisterstuck Diamond, I might be able to assist there because I know someone who has some, please PM me and I will give you the info.

Chrissy it was your post that made me buy two - thanks for the heads up.

I used up about ten in my OC madness before deciding on the final layout.

I also ruined about ten when I spilt some water on the desk.

I have about 3/4 inch left for future add ons. Surely that must be enough !!!

Tas did you know that the cards are currently 20% off in case you need a second pack?

Code TWENTY

I got your email Chrissy. Thanks for the info - I'd received the email from TJS but hadn't read it. I've taken the opportunity to stock up with Midori and more Blackwings :-)

I saw the Blackwings, and was tempted. I actually like the white ones better. I couldn't decide which of their paper was FP friendly and which wasn't. I forgot to ask for samples as well.

However, I spent enough on the orders I put in. OH will have a dicky fit as it is.

Oh heck! Sneaky FP subterfuge is required in such emergencies - errrr pretend I sent you the stuff? LOL

For the future, Midori MD paper and notebooks are very FP-friendly

Did anyone mention whether or not this paper shows sheen?

Also, is the Jetpens product the same as what you Brits are using, or do I need to order from your sorce?

This is so cool, and practical. I don't mind having samples of 20 different reddish browns, but only want one bottle of it.

You all have done such a great job on your cards - seriously, they are amazing!

I love organizing anything, especially so if color / shape / size etc. is involved. I'm a permanent kindergarten student!

Edited to add: my order to Jetpens is done. The brand name they carry is the same as the OP mentioned, so it's all good. First time I ordered from them, so I got a couple other items as well...

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.

Yes - this paper definitely shows sheen. Because it is very slightly textured (more on one side than the other) the ink pools slightly when it dries. This emphasises the sheen. It is especially noticeable with all my Sailor inks and with the Diamines to a lesser extent.

I have now completed all my swatches and I'm really pleased with the result. And I am rather alarmed about how many inks I actually have. Don't ask!!

I ordered 200 cards. I have 30 bottles and at least 80 samples. The first step is admitting you have a problem!

I admit it. I have space problem. I need a second ink cabinet.

Migo: Your "secret" is safe with me, but I can't speak for the others. By the way, I'm waiting for my first bottle of Sailor ink (from Atsu on eBay), a 30ml "sample" of 150 year old red Stephen's ink (an Etsy buy) and about 10 samples of sheenarific inks (Anderson pens). Is that too much ink?
