:eureka: Thanks! I've been thinking of repurposing Noodler's Blue Black. I love how it behaves so well in all of my pens and on the paper I've used (great to crapola). But I'm not really keen on how dark it is. I was thinking of trying a Blue Black to Sailor Sky High mix. Or trying to mix with some green ink for a teal attempt.

So here is Mix #2. I think I may be getting there. I have noticed that some folks tend to wait until they have perfected their recipes before posting, but since this is my first experiment in mixing, I am posting more frequently to get some feedback.

mm1624124, in thinking about the teal mixture (I also have Noodler's Hunter Green and Heart of Darkness, so you and I have similar shopping lists :) ), I would think that you would want to add black to the green. I saw another post on the board talking about a red-black mix that the point would be to darken the red and not try to redden the black. I thought about trying to add Heart of Darkness to the Asa-Gao, but decided that I would end up using so little HoD, that it would not have the water resistance that I desire. I would think you would want to darkness the green.

Speaking of, water resistance testing (spilling some water on the paper using a 6 year old volunteer who is also my inspiration for needing water resistance) should be happening and posted soon.

As always, any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.

Robert

PS - Edits because I learned that a pdf scan does not auto load into the post, so I needed to use a .jpeg.
