Shall We Clean Out Manufactum Again?

Tombstone

Recommended Posts

Ok, some of you might remember the Summer of 2013 and our hunt for the OMAS MoMA, which ended in a fire sale at some of the german Manufactum sales-points - and a couple of happy FPN-members.

I will make it short for not keeping you up for too long: there seems to be a new possibility with a different pen.

As Manufactum in former times was dedicated to "the real cool stuff", they are right now on the way to "me too" - and they clean out their shops again. What I found this time is the Stipula DaVinci in two different models - black resin and ebonite in different colours. Most of them are "M", some are "1.1 Italic", all nibs are 14k, not titanium.

Based on this I just ask: shall we do something like this again?

To be honest: I already bought 4 of them... ... but I am sure they have at minimum again some 5 or 6 laying around.

Resume: if this is interesting, let me know.

And in general: this is not meant as a business sale or something like this - the thing in 2013 started and ended as (from my point of view) something like "friends help friends". If this is against the rules, feel free to eliminate this thread. It was not my idea to interfere with the guidelines of FPN.

Ciao - Peter

PS: they ask for 250,- Euro, independent from the model...

Just curious...

You mentioned ebonite in different colours...which colours do they currently have?

Thanks!

Ok, so the feedback came in - they still have:

- 4x Stipula Da Vinci Black Resin, all 14 k, probably all 1.1 Italic

- 3x Stipula Da vinci Ebonite dark brown to dark orange, all 14 k, probably all M

In general: most of them shall come with box / papers / 1x cartridge / 1x converter. If there is something missing, first come / first served. So the fast ones will get the complete sets.

PNs to the ones who contacted me are out, so just tell me, what I shall get.

Ciao - Peter

First Edit: wow, this goes like hell - 2x black 1.1 and 2x Ebonites are already ordered...

Second Edit / 26.03.: even if not all of the available pens are ordered, I agreed to take all of them. So even if somebody seems to be late, I will try to fulfill every wish.

  • 1 year later...

Long time no see on this topic.

All of the pens in the spring of 2014 arrived where they had to arrive, but since this time I got PMs from time to time asking me if there are more available - with negative response. I deleted all of these PMs...

To make it short again: I just came back from a business trip and again picked up 2 of these pens:

They are both with M-nib and made of Ebonite - the picture is meant as an optical sample.

- the first one comes with box, papers, converter and one cartridge - the usual set

- the second one is a little bit different: no box, no papers, no cartridge, but the converter even has the "Stipula" imprint on the tube... I do not remeber to have seen this before. The other strange point: it does NOT have the usual "Leoardo Da Vinci", "Stipula" and "Made in Italy" on the tube like all the others I have seen. Based on the information I gathered this seems to be one of the "first ones" - these did come without any mark on the tube.

So this goes out to the people who still want one...

Just give me a sign.

I'm not a fan of Stipula but seem to remember that Manufaktum once carried an OMAS grey celluloid pen (same material as the LE Cinema) ...
