DId you know he bought all those pen stands for the 149.

Coincedently I was gathering some info about the pen stand. The shop told me they don't make these anymore.

My preferred supplier (no affiliation just a very happy customer):

Appelboom

I am more disappointed in Obama than Putin. How can he not see this coming. We lost an ambassador under his watch and we could well lose a nation now. Being a president of USA he should have seen this one coming. You should never underestimate your opponent when so much is at stake.

Here we go.

How many people did we lose under George Bush's watch--on American soil?

Hopefully the moderator locks this thread before it gets stupid.

I started the thread hoping it wouldnt slide and, not counting a couple of exceptions, it has not which speaks volumes for the majority on here.

ALL of our countries have historical 'skeletons' but some dyed in the wool cranks will never except it.........

Anyway PENS :)

Paul, I never made a comparison between Bush and Obama. You did. I'll stop here before this gets any more stupid. BTW, Putin does have great taste in fountain pens.

Sorry, I should have seen this coming......

There's a difference between acceptance of history, and ignorance of it, Pen Nut.

Fortunately, johnkim424, anyone perusing this thread can simply read these comments, and will be able to note that you chose to bring Obama into this. Which was odd, considering he wasn't germane to this thread.

Sigh.......... Yes Johnkim424 so should I

I, like many on here, could make lists about this country doing that and that country doing this etc etc Hell I could even mention the Empire !! but as I was once told 'its the empty cans that make the most noise' so lets leave it at that eh.

Wonder what ink was in the Montblanc pen that Putin used ? ( any 'tears of children' or 'blood of suppressed' blah blah replies welcomed via PM)

Hmmm, I thought that FPN is a site for pen lovers, and not for political assessments or views,,am I right?

My age (53) and life experience- having regard to the country where I am from (Bosnia and Herzegovina), tell me that in the politics there are just a few black-white things, if any...wanted to say, that there are not good and bad guys, by default.

Unlike re MB- a black and white "things" are clearly visible! :)

Admin, don't U think that it's time to lock this topic?

Thanks!

I agree with this 100%. That is why I have refrained to offer my own political assessment even though I live on a small island that was invaded, signed over to the occupying invader and denied the basic right to self determination.

So... I believe it was a 146. ;)

You are correct, kuli1961. However as adults we can't sit in fear that a thread may veer off into a different subject. I'm fairly certain we can all stand to read some opinions differing from our own, even if they're not about pens.

As for locking the tread, I also felt that Ray, or Kalessin should lock it. That they have not, shows they trust us as FPN members to figure this out on our own.

Truthfully, carlos.q, that would be a far more interesting thread than this one.

As for this thread, it was an absurd topic to post, considering the situation.

or, let's all of us reverse to the discussion - was it 146 or 149, capped or not?

Or one could discuss over the fact : real or fake. LOL

I'll vote for real. I'm sure he can afford to buy it new, from a reputable dealer or boutique. :)

Right, I was taught that democracy means a lifetime battle to defend someone else's right to express her/his different opinion.

Occasionally the flames are fanned from the outside, without that the fire would simply die out,and it is possible that this is the case currently in Ukraine. My family has its roots in many different countries, and branches in even more.My wife is half Russian and half Ukrainian, born, raised and educated in Ukraine, in one of the most cosmopolitan cities, when it was part of the USSR. She has lived in the 'West' for many years and witnessed what has happened to her homeland over those years. She is not and never has been a Communist, but she can understand exactly why the majority of Crimeans would vote to having 'closer links' with Russia rather than with the EU. If a referendum does not have an outcome that suits us,then it is invalid? Is denying them self-determination in the spirit of true Democracy?

Maybe a nice Pushkin WE...or a Bulgakov? What fun MB could have with designing a Bulgakov!
