Who Is Using Franklin-Christoph.......?

I just bought one, the 1910 that has the customized work of Pendleton Brown on the nib (FC-19.) I bought it for my twin sister for our birthday. It is beautiful, the band of green striking against the black.

The nib is beautiful and I have no doubt that with the BLS-Flex I imagine she'll love it.

You mean the 1901 correct? I cannot for the life of me see the 1910. :D You specified it was the FC 19 so I assume that'd be the case. Love the pen! Congrats!

Another F-C afficianado here :) I got my first, a Model 19 with King's Gold Bands about two weeks ago with a Masuyama 18K Medium Stub nib. Fantastic performance and ergonomics. I also have a Model 20 with a factory fine nib ( I have an 18K Masuyama Broad Stub, and HP Medium Stub on backorder) and one of their two pen cases. The engineering for the slip cap of the Model 20 is just amazing, and the section is extremely comfortable. Outstanding fit and finish all around, and fantastic customer service. Currently trying to decide what my third one will be... ;)

I'm very glad this thread has some legs as the pens are great. I have 3 currently and the newest 20 on the way. Of new manufacture pens, for me there's Pelikan and there's F-C. Have to admit though, if it weren't for the Masuyama nibs....

Regardless of the Masuyama nibs, it's still a fantastic pen. I can't remember what I read, but something about F-C and Mike Masuyama being at a pen show, and their tables happened to be side-by-side. Mike made a comment about how their standard nibs were of high quality (in writing), even without his touch.

Franklin-Christoph, Italix, and Pilot pens are the best!
Iroshizuku, Diamine, and Waterman inks are my favorites!

Apica, Rhodia, and Clairefontaine make great paper!

I've got a 66, 20 and 19. I'll probably pick up an 03 next, unless they come out with something I like better before I get around to it.

For nibs I've got a couple standard, three Masuyama italics and four cursive italics from two other nibmeisters. All the F-C nibs write perfectly out of the box. My favorite nibs out of the lot are the two broad Masuyama italics, one gold and one steel.

Lifetime warranty, 30 day return policy and great customer service is a plus.

The only thing I wish is that they had a few more color choices.

Don't have any of their pens but I have the A4 and A5 journal covers and Penvelope 2 all in saddleboot black leather. Fantastic quality products, and the price point is superb for the high quality. Very pleased.

Well the FC model 29-Bellus is exclusively a rollerball. Glad I snagged it when I did! LOL

Hmmmmmmmmm. I wasn't aware that they had made this change. I had a Bellus (fountain pen) for a while, but I didn't realize how heavy it was. They were fantastic about allowing me to exchange it for another pen. I'd really like to know why they discontinued it as a fountain pen.

Yes you are correct. I think Pendelton Brown had it listed is a FC 19.

Neither was I, I had mine shipped March 25, must have been one of the last ?

Wonderfull pen BTW, with standard F nib

Ik ontken het grote belang van de computer niet, maar vind het van een stuitende domheid om iets wat al millennia zijn belang heeft bewezen daarom overboord te willen gooien (Ann De Craemer)

I've been using the Anderson Pens version of the 02 Intrinsic with the 1.1mm italic stainless steel nib. It is a wonderful pen. I don't know if the 1.1mm italic Anderson advertises is the same nib FC calls the cursive italic. I suspect it is but don't know for sure. It writes beautifully , whatever it is.

I am so glad this topic was brought back to the surface. I absolutely love the two F-Cs that I have: the model 19 (of course) and the 02 snow and ice. They are both extremely well made. I have a few custom made pens that feel kinda flimsy and I am afraid to use them for fear they'll break. The F-C gives me the feeling I'm writing with a tank.

An extremely light tank.

Just peeked at the F-C web site then at Anderson's. The 1.1 mm appears to be the HP steel (un-tipped) cursive calligraphy nib.

These JoWo nibs are fantastic & should last for a long, long time of happy writing.

I've used both the Edison & Franklin-Christoph version of this nib. The Edison branded 1.1 mm. is shown below:

Our F-C pens are not available from us with custom Masuyama nibs, if that is what you are referring to.

Heard the FC had a piston filler in the works and almost ready. I like their pens a lot and I would like to get my first FC but if they have a piston filler in the wings, I will wait to get that. Any news on that front?
