Thank you Nyoko,

Thank you Misfit, might do that, although the budget recently went elsewhere...

no problem, I'm keeping an eye on them, now I know the 02 is the next FC in my plans...

I gave the EF nib a chance, but it’s just not my preference. I ordered a black HPS. 1.1 cursive italic nib and a bottle of Black Cherry ink (I have a Retro 51 in Black Cherry).

Here is the Model pocket 66

My brother (pilotheinrich here) is visiting. I showed him my model 31 Omnis. I remembered seeing it in stock, so I searched the F-C website. It was there, but so was an Italian Ice version. We impulse ordered one each with the Broad SIG nib. If we had slept on it, the 25 pen run would have been sold out.

Here I figured my next Franklin-Christoph would be a Model 3 or Model 66 (the black pen with nuclear green section). I didn’t expect to get another Model 31.

Just received this pen yesterday and started using it right away. It's the Franklin Christoph model 02 Intrinsic in a new color, "translucent lavender with cherry red compliments" as they describe it. I chose their steel medium nib with the black coating. It's a lovely writer with J. Herbin Poussiere de Lune ink.

Uh, WOW! That is a fine looking pen. Good thing I didn't se it earlier or I would own my 4th F-C.

Maybe its a newer model, but I dont seem to see a lot of online talk about the 55. Anyone have any experience with this one?

My brother bought the model 55 Pentium in black and antique glass, and liked it.

Other than having a #5 nib versus the more common #6, the 55 behaves no different. I too have the Black Antique Glass version. AG models tend to sell out rather quickly.

I just got my first F-C, a Model 46 in Glass. It seems comfortable, but I can't say it was quite exactly what I was expecting it to look like. I bought it to try out a Jowo #6 nib which will be coming later. Maybe it'll grow on me.

I know what you mean @aimi.

If you bought it without ever seeing one in person, like I did with the model 31, it can be a surprising experience. My like for the Omnis had to grow. And it did because I bought another one in Italian Glass.

I like that you can buy another nib for them.

Yeah I bought without ever seeing haha. The 46, despite basically being the same girth as my Pelikan M800 and Pilot CH 912 looks so much bigger (maybe the colour is light so its deceptive). If it doesnt grow on me at least Jowo nibs can be transplanted in other bodies, and Im glad I got to try it.

I ended up selling the F-C I posted about a few weeks ago... I just couldn't get over its looks, and it was unfair for me to compare the pen to my $$ Pelikans when it was so much more reasonably priced. It's currently in transit to its new owner, and I hope USPS will go okay for once. I need to find a new Jowo #6 body, but now I'm worried that I may not be a fan of the "custom pen" shape. Although I know they can vary, they seem to have a sort of classifying shape to them. Maybe I'll sell my Jowo nib as well while I'm at it...

I noticed on the F-C site that they are selling (with email when in stock) the Masuyama nibs to make way for Nagahara nibs. Changes....

It is the model 45L with a Nagahara B Cursive Italic nib. The color is Coco Pearl. Here is a writing sample.

Just a PSA....FC is having their online pen show today at 11 AM EST, and again at 10 PM EST. Really looking forward to adding another to the collection, which currently stands at two 65's, two 20's, and one 02.

Thanks for the PSA!

I just bought a deeply purple pen at the on-line morning show and may look in to see what's on offer at the evening edition. I do love my F-Cs, especially because I can get them with Audrey Matteson's delightful SIG nibs. that make my handwriting look, if not legible, at least interesting.

Just saw that.  Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that but this go round looked like an ugly pen competition to me.

I have committed to getting a model 66 Stabilis in black, with a different color section. The nib will be an HPS steel 1.1mm CC nib.

I went looking for my pictures of my FC pens, and I didn't find them quickly. I guess this means I need to ink up and take more pictures.

Here are two FCs in use with other beloved pens.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).
