Absolutely beautiful. Thanks for the photo. What number is the orange one? I can see by the nib that the black one is no. 12.

It's a nr. 10: the only one I have ever seen in that color. Max said that he has restored it for a private collector

Why do you say that?

I imagine as he thinks that's a really beautiful pen. I don't really like it however I imagine he likes is the Masculinity of the design.

Recently, I tried one of those makrolon (sp?) Lamy 2000s (that's what that is, correct Synthy?) at my LPS, and I found it very slippery to hold. I was all charged up thinking to buy one, but changed my mind. That's a nice looking pen, though.

I know this pen is more jewelry than pen, but I really like the Caran d'Ache Perles series.

Some really beautiful pens on these pages, and some really nasty horrors - which just goes to show the diversity of fountain pens and the widely varying tastes of the users.

I won't say which was which for fear of offending proud owners - it would only be my own opinion after all. As long as you love your own pens that is really all that matters.

Pens and paper everywhere, yet all our hearts did sink,

Pens and paper everywhere, but not a drop of ink.
