The Lamy Safari line is an excellent choice for an everyday pen. The Cross ATX is a nice pen too, but if I had to choose, I'd go with the Lamy. If you do get an ATX, I'd get one from the Bahia line.

 

The Studio has the same nib and feed as the Safari, so if you're trying to be cheap, then Safari all the way. The Studio's body is a little more premium.
