Fountain Pen Friendly Jewelers Tools

Ok I have seen some of you mention certain jewelers tools for things like burnishing.

Lets say you had access to a fully loaded jewelers workshop from hand tools to flex shafts, anvils of various sizes, anything you could imagine for jewelry making. If you were able to use anything you saw in the shop, what tools would you say would make the best repair selection?

My fiances father was a jewelry maker and gem faceter. He passed in November so my fiance inherited everything since she is the only heir. He has an entire workshop with everything needed for working with rocks, stones minerals and jewelry making. I know a lot of these items can be used for Fountain pen repair.

I have no clue about any of this, but I have always wondered why more jewelers are not involved in nib or pen making. I look forward to learning from the answers.

I wonder that myself as that is who USED to do everyones nib repair. However, just today one of my fiances fathers best friends came over and he is a master jeweler/faceter/engraver. He does all engraving by hand. He has his own school for teaching it all but only accepts a few students a year because he is so busy.

He saw the old Waterman 452 with engraved overlay and the Waterman 512 with hand engraved initials on it and he started talking to me about the process and that he engraves expensive pens for people and does custom nib engraving. I had no idea and I have known him for at least 3-4 years.

Everything. Take everything. Honestly, I thumb through the Rio Grande catalog and drool - so many tools that can be adapted for pen repair, and you can't imagine what they are until you need a gizmo to solve a problem. Special pliers, burnishers, flex shaft tool, burrs, lubricants, torches, soldering plates....

Oh believe me, it is all ours now. I will use whatever is needed. I was just wondering if anyone had any favorite jewelers tools for their pen work to basically put together a pen repair tool box. Especially for on the go. I have everything at my disposal from tools to flex shafts to engraving tools to a full size lathe as well as a mini lathe with metal turning capability.

I DID happen to notice that section pliers are just spark plug pliers right down to the red covering on the ends. I saw one pair last night that was exactly the same with the exception of a different shape handle.
