Notebook Or -Pad For Practice Writing

Recommended Posts

I've been searching all over the place, and while I've found tons of info on the more 'luxury' notebooks, I couldn't find much about the cheaper products. I'm looking for a notebook or -pad for practice writing.

Right now I'm using some low-budget notepad, but it is really poor quality. The book/pad doesn't have to be ultracheap, but not in the Rhodia WebNotebook pricecategory (I like those and use them for my journal). Well known brands like Rhodia or Clairefontaine are preferred as those are usually available here in the Netherlands. I've looked at products by those 2 manufacturers, but can't find much info about their "lower end" products. I don't mind other brands, but as I'm fairly new to this, I don't know many others (yet).

For a notebook, I'd prefer a form factor similar to the Moleskine Cahier (rather thin, soft cover) in approximately A5 size.

For a notepad, I'd prefer a simple A4 sized pad.

I'm looking for something with white, ruled, fountain pen friendly(-ish) paper, that is available here in the Netherlands (or online with cheap shipping to the Netherlands). I don't really care how it is kept together, as long as it isn't a spiral.

Any suggestions?

Multo works pretty well for me, available at V&D and, I think, many stationery shops. The paper is pretty nice, and it's available in different sizes, rulings etc.

Do those come in a non-spiral version? I find the spirals annoying in use and they always end up bend and not very spirally from stuffing them in my bag with too much other stuff...

Don't despair, we have one of the best shops on the continent for these things anyway

Lol, that's actually the local shop I was referring to in post #3 :) I bought my Webnotebooks there and plan to pay them a visit soon to buy some ink (and now some more notebooks as well).

I think they do, but haven't actually checked it. It's been a while since I bought one.

I just tear out a few pages when I need them and I keep notes (for projects at work) as loose leaves, or sometimes stapled, in a folder. Writing practice same thing (except it's at home).
