My Gama Padpad Aka Raja

The smaller nib looks good, but when I see the larger nib I like it a lot more. I really enjoy big, giant nibs.

:) thanks!

I have a Gama Raja. I think it is your Badsha but with a friction fit nib and feed, correct?

I also have, coincidentally, a Schmidt FH341 nib unit (gold-colored) looking for a new pen body, so I am doubly interested...

GAMA pens are so soft to write unlike the scratchy wality nibs. I bought a Ratnam and GAMA pen recently and found the GAMA way better than the former to write..

do you mean smooth? the Gama stock nibs are quite rigid.

I found the Gama stock nib to be very smooth. I switched it for a 1.5 Goulet stub, but I miss the Gama Hawk nib that came with the pen. I just don't have anyother stubs in my collection yet.

I have found Gama stock nibs to be very smooth and even having some flex.

They are quite OK. I think I have mentioned this in one of the reviews, maybe this review itself, I have not gone back 3 pages to re-read.

When set properly, the width is EF, I usually switch out the nibs since I prefer a thicker, wetter line. If you prefer EF, then the stock nib with stock ebonite feeder is the way to go.

Thanks Hari I hope to do no harm, I do not have your great experience about these changes, I would like to ask your advice, I have seen a variety of choices but I thought it best for the proportions of the pen is correct mount Schmidt FH241,that expert opinion you give me, my choice is correct? what would you recommend? thanks in advance Richard

(Forgive my bad English)

the problem with the Schmidt units is the length and the diameter of the housing. The stock Raja is not suitable to accept the Schmidt easily. For the Raja, the Pelikan M150 to M600, Esterbrook renew points and JoWo No 6 nib housing are suitable.

Nice looking pen!

Every time I see the name of this pen and brand pop up it reminds me of different nicknames for grandma (gama) and grandpa (padpad). Anyone else? :D

Need i say it?! Beautiful reviews as always! :D
And might i take this opportunity to ask a question?

I have a doubt about a pen (i guess Indian) company named "Mebsons". I was on my regular FP hunt in the Vadodara city where i used to stay. There i came across two Mebsons pens and i bought it because they seemed vintage and Indian!

https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/index.php/topic/278199-mebsons-arfa-a-vintage-indian-ed-pen-help-needed/

Here is the link to my post for one of the pens for which i have a doubt.

Would you be kind enough to check it out and shed some light on it if possible?

Thanks in advance! :)
