Quick review on my Goulet nib:

Assuming that my nib is a good representative of all the others, I think these nibs are a great value for the money. I put mine on a Nemosine Singularity that was otherwise a great pen but had a super scratchy nib. Now it is beautiful, writes really smooth, and is a total joy to use. And, that two-tone is really classy looking. :-)

I say that if you are looking to replace a #6 nib, this would be my first recommendation. Also, I really like the Goulets and I would rather have their logo on my pen than any other company.

A few more writing examples:

And some poorly done pictures of the nib itself:

Btw, I bought this nib with my own money and I am in no way affiliated with Goulet Pens. All opinions expressed above are strictly my own and you are totally allowed to respectfully disagree with them.

... and a physicist, too! Fountain pens adds class to Quantum Mechanics.

I have two Goulet nibs, a medium and a fine. Both are the smoothest writers of any of my nibs. I plan to order an extra fine soon. Didn't realize they would fit a Nemosine. I've been wanting to try those pens, too. Thanks for the review.

Favorite pen/ink pairings: Edison Brockton w/EF 14K gold nib and Noodler's 54th Massachusetts; Visconti Pinanfarina w/EF chromium conical nib and Noodler's El Lawrence; Sheaffer Legacy w/18k extra fine inlaid nib and Noodler's Black; Sheaffer PFM III fine w/14k inlaid nib and Noodler's Black; Lamy 2000 EF with Noodler's 54th Massachusetts; Franklin Christoph 65 Stablis w/steel Masuyama fine cursive italic and DeAtramentis Document Blue; Pilot Decimo w/18k fine nib and Pilot Blue Black; Franklin Christoph 45 w/steel Masuyama fine cursive italic and Noodler's Zhivago; Edison Brockton EF and Noodler's El Lawrence; TWSBI ECO EF with Noodler's Bad Green Gator.

I have two Goulet 1.1mm stubs, two Fines and two Extra Fines - and have to agree, they're all really smooth writers. The EF pens have a little more 'feedback', as you'd expect, but lay an amazingly fine line - as a lover of EF nibs, these really fit the bill.

The Fines I haven't played with enough to make definitive comment on (my preliminary observation, though it may be the ink I'm using, is that though smoother to write with they also lay a wetter line than the EF, and are therefore less 'fine' than I'd been expecting)...

The 1.1mm stubs are just magical - they force me to write larger than I would normally, but not by all that much, and the line variation makes a huge difference to my handwriting, at least when I take care to hold the nib correctly. Still not sure whether I'd want to experiment with the 1.5mm stub - but thanks for putting up this review, it's a tempting prospect!

[Edit:] Forgot to say, both the two-tone and the straight steel are good lookers - but if the two-tone doesn't look too out of place on your pen, I think they have a slight edge - as your pictures show!

I have the 1.1 and it is a real steal for that price. Smoothest stub nib I've used so far. I put it in my Ebonite Konrad and it is one of my favorite pens. Nice review!

Thanks! I have to write suuuupppeeeerrrrrr slow and big for my handwriting to look that nice. It's definitely an exercise in patience and you should see how many false starts I wind up with. I have a journal that I use just for practicing handwriting and there are some pages that are just a disaster...
