Disaster! Hope you find it soon.

From your lips, to god's ear. I can't quite believe this: after over a month of looking, six hours after I wrote that last post, I FOUND IT! Now where's that relieved emoticon?!? I'll just settle for :D

Too many pens; too little writing.

Because of Sblakers and this post, I had to get the Romillo pen. Thank you all for sharing and recommending.

I was going to see more review and think about ordering one in stub, but something popped up and I had to snag it. Since I already have two stubs/Italic nib I didn't mind BB especially Romillo's.

I was just sold on the beautiful huge handmade nib.

Wow, all of a sudden there is a frenzy of Romillo's here.

Some say you'll end up getting all three, Hakase, Nakaya, Romillo.

We'll see.

:D

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

I believe the "Soul" model is a piston filler.

I ordered my Eo #9 (terracotta ebonite with a 1.0 stub nib) a couple weeks ago and reading this thread is making me SO anxious for it to arrive. It's incredibly difficult to find a good review of a Romillo pen. This thread is one of few I've found in lots of searching.

Sounds great

Am looking forward to the photos in due course :D

Definitely! I plan a full review, as well, mostly because there have been so few reviews of Romillo's so far.

So my Eo #9 arrived Monday and I agree with all the other comments about Romillo's nib: they are truly astounding. Not only that, they have an incredibly unique feel. I picked the terracotta ebonite with 18k roll-stop. The nib is a 1.0 stub, which is not very sharp but very forgiving and just a joy to write with.

Is great to see another Romillo in that lovely terra cotta color. I recently picked up an Essential #9 in the same color. The nib is just a pleasure to look at. Stunning.

Congrats!!! Gorgeous pen.

Thank you, mongrelnomad! It was actually your review of your Nervion which pushed me over the edge. I fear your Hakase and Conid reviews are doing the same thing!

Isn't it?! What size nib did you get? I almost wish I had gotten a fine so I could use it as an every writer. I thought it'd be a letter-writing pen, hence the stub. But it feels so good in the handand the bronze in the section and bottom part of the barrel give it a nice heft that makes it feel really solid. The stub is a bit too wide for an everyday writer for me. I guess I just need to get another Romillo with a fine nib this time ...

Great pen, thanks for the pics. I remain interested, but so many other things have got in the way. One day...

I have a fine nib, and would probably prefer a stub. :lticaptd: I like the weight of the pen, but it is a little too thin in the section for my tastes. I also worry about about the cap lip which seems fairly thin. But, I do love the color and the pen overall. The nib is enjoyable to stare at, even when I am not writing.

The grass is always greener on the other side ... I'm already planning a solid blue ebonite Eo #9 or Essential #9 with a fine or fine/medium nib. FPN is really bad for my wallet.

Btw, Gorgeous pen! I wonder how the clip is attached ... it doesn't look like there's a blind cap on the cap to hold the clip in like with many other pens. If you look inside the cap with a light, can you see a tiny bit of metal sticking out? I can right underneath where the roll-stop is on mine. I agree, the nib is a beauty.

Thank you zaddick - love that pen. The clip in particular is a striking feature.

Do you or the OP use cartridges in your pens?

The #9 nib pens are eyedropper only. I believe they came in converter/cartridge models before but Romillo found that the converters were unable to keep up with the #9 size nib. The #7 models can have a c/c system though.
