Open Letter To Levenger

Dear Levenger

The new True Writer Select looks nice and there are good color options. However, I'm not going to buy it until I can order it with the nib width of my choice. I am not going to buy the pen and then a separate nib! Give us the option to order the pen with and nib you offer (including the stub) or I'll spend my money elsewhere.

The catalog I received in the mail this week lists this pen with the option of fine, medium, and bold nibs. I suspect it is an oversight that this option is not apparent on the web listing.

Original poster, have you called Levenger's customer service? Perhaps they will switch out the nib for you. I have found Levenger to be very accommodating.

I agree. I've never been very enthused about seeing complaints on forums that have never been addressed with the company.

 

I would find it more helpful to know how Levenger responded when you raised the matter with them.

Nothing burns me more about working in a service industry than when people have a problem with my shop and they walk away without giving me a chance to make it right. Even if they feel the need to walk out the door forever I would appreciate the courtesy of having the chance to rectify the problem before it effects someone else.

I agree! I love stub nibs. Some of the older True Writers have sections that match the body color. Worse yet, now it seems the stub nib Levenger sells is only for True Writer Select fountain pens, none of which I have.

I know we should all use Levenger's contact form to say this. I'll try to do that next time I check their website.
