"Excuse me for the stupid question but how is it that a discolouration appear on the cap and on the barrel to the cap lip but not on the parts of the barrel that are under the cap? The cap is so tight that there is no discolouration under it?"

 

I suppose that the part where the cap has been has been protected against light, that is the only explanation i can think of.

Hmm probably...I avow i find it funny when you see the barrel fully discolourated and suddently deep black...

It's not stupid, the exposure to light and air bleaches the black out of the rubber, where it's been capped has less exposure. I have several BHR pens that show the same pattern

It is the same with my coral-red masterpiece 25, the red colour is darker where the cap is.

This might sound crazy, but I like the Simplo more than I like the L129. I've handled a few Simplos recently, and I love the look of them and, wow, the nibs (as your photo shows)!
