An exhibition on Calligraphy and Islam is currently displayed in the Cooley Gallery at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. Later in the Month, there will be two associated lectures and a special scriptorium conducted by Dr. Hamidreza Ghelichkhan.

Sounds like a fascinating lecture. And I've seen some Islamic calligraphy in museum exhibits in the past, and particularly liked the look of Kufic script (although I don't know if that could easily be done with FPs: it would depend on the nib, I guess).
