Caws Safety Pen

Hi...my first post........I recently obtained a Caws Safety Fountain Pen . It has printed on the barrel "CAWS No 341 PATENTED FEB 12.95 - SEPT 8.96"

 

I have attached photos.....can anyone tell me anything about it please?

Caw's was a fountain pen and ink manufacturer based in New York City which was popular at the turn of the 20th century. One of their famous models was the Dashaway. They used to advertise in the print media of the era with endorsements from Presidents Grover Cleveland and Benjamin Harrison. The company's logo was a crow.

 

Where did you find this pen? It is very nice.

Thanks for the information as I have been unable to find out much about Caws. It does have the Crow logo on the barrel and nib. I was fortunate (or was I ??) enough to buy it at auction.
