Non- Gum Arabic Ink Recipes

I am new to fountain pens. I have read that inks with gum arabic in them can clog pens/nibs. All the home made inks I see on here so far have gum arabic. Is there a non-gum arabic home made ink recipe list?

There was something floating around with food dyes and glycerine I think, but I can't find the thread.

 

Have you tried the Open Ink Wiki? http://www.open-ink.com/ It has some recipes, and also links to a lot of (free) books and things that have traditional ink recipes that might be helpful.
