Hello From Bangkok!

Hello everybody!

I'm from Bangkok, Thailand and have a passion for modern fountain pens. So far, I've got a modest collection of 2 Parker Premiers, a Sonnet, a Sheaffer 100 and a Lamy Safari. Since I've started this hobby, writing both at school and at home has been an immense pleasure, although I'm working on my handwriting, since it is clearly subpar to most of yours here!

Looking forward to getting acquainted with all of the great people here.

Welcome!

Perth, you'd know that Perth is the capital of Western Australia. So we have Perth from Bangkok...any Australian connection.

A nice little collection of FP's to start with. There's perhaps a few of us who still need to work on the old handwriting :)

Happy fountain penning.

thanks & best wishes, Captain Nib

...keep nibbing on...

Welcome aboard Perth. There is at least one more in Bangkok.

Please call me Nathan. It is a pleasure to meet you.

Welcome, Perth !

The practice of writing will improve your handwriting. I agree that writing with a fountain pen is more pleasurable.

The flow of liquid ink allows a smooth and relaxed writing experience. Reducing writing fatigue in the classroom

will be a distinct advantage.

Do you have a favorite ink color ?

Best of luck.

Thank you! I'm mostly new to inks, but I've found that the Caran d'Ache Amazon from the Colours of the Earth line looks quite striking on paper.

Funnily enough, that's a statement I've been acquainted to. My mother visited Australia a few months before my birth, so she decided to give me the name. I've never been there, but it would be one very awkward trip!

Hi Perth and welcome to FPN.

Nice starting collection. I would say it needs a Waterman now as your next pen...

I actually received a gold Waterman c/f from my grandmother, but it seems to have mysteriously disappeared. Which is a shame.

That certainly is a shame. They seem nice pens. Only problem these days is that the cartridges are no longer available and converters hard to find.

I actually had a converter for it, which makes it a much harder loss.
