He is also a nice guy.

He also played RiffRaff in a Broadway production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and other TV stuff.

And he's married to Snow White. (No, really, he is.)

The great secret of Pendleton Brown's work is just what a thoroughly great guy that he is in person. He worked on several pens for me last year at the LAPS, all of which became exceptionally fun to write with after his efforts, but the real treat was being able to meet him, talk with him, and laugh with him.

Highly highly recommended on all levels !

I stumbled across Pendleton at the Baltimore Pen Show last year when I was just getting started with fountain pens. I was new enough that I didn't have any intelligent questions to ask, but he was a lot of fun to talk to. I wound up buying one of his customized Rosetta Magellans and have been delighted with it. He is a great guy to talk to and does an amazing job with the nibs.

Drat. That means he won't be at the Poland Pen Show.

Have a great time, all y'all!

Lisa, are you going to the Poland Pen Show? I remember you went last year and then somehow I ended up last Autumn with a Wiland Star - incredibly gorgeous.

I bought a Parker 51 Aero with a very nicely smooth EF nib from him at the Ohio Pen Show. It's supposed to be for my husband. At least until the Phillistene leaves the cap off on it. Then I rescue it....

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Oh, and to stay on topic, and to lend my enthusiastic support of Pendleton's work, here are some photos of one of my favorite pens, sporting such a great nib that I keep its whereabouts completely secret:

That is such a beautiful example dcpritch. I need to have a nib done by him soon! All of these nibs looks so delicious..

Off topic: How do you hold these italic nibs? Normally like you would a regular nib or at the slanted 45 angle (pen turned) ?

You guys better knock it off! If he knows how good he is, he'll up his prices. :lticaptd: That being said, my TWSBI BB with Angel Wings is a lot of fun (but darn if that nib isn't ugly).

This would have to be the nicest writing I have seen on the fountain pen network to date.

Beautiful stylised hand writing

You should be very proud.

I can't imagine a better combination :puddle: !

I have two pens with PB at the moment, a Pilot Custom 74 with medium nib and a Pelikan M205 with a vintage M250 medium 14c nib, I CAN'T WAIT to get them back!

I agree... His work on my TWSBI 540's has rendered all of my other pens useless. I feel a class action lawsuit coming on... Who's with me!?

Oo, sweet! I've seen a couple of Wil and - kindv big, but gorgeous.

I'm planning on attending the Poland Pen Show - as long as the paperwork is approved. Visa situation caused by my misunderstanding Schengen... sigh.

Pendleton has worked on two wonderful italic nibs for me.

On Monday I'm sending him another nib-set,...my third.
