Hermetic, your beautiful 244 is all German.

Thanks; then I have a Danish 244 and a German 244.

Now I have my first Montblanc made in my country (well, it is still in the post, picture is from the seller). It is a striated 42 produced in Spain in 1950.

Hi HermetiC: As you can see from my photo, I have (exactly) like the one you will get soon in the post. My pen has the outline of a white snowflake (or is it a star?) at the top of the cap, but it looks as if the star had been worn off. Enjoy your new Mont Blanc "Fabricado en España por E. Wiese"!

Definitely looks Danish and definitely looks amazing! Very nice acquisition.

I keep thinking about selling some of my pens but all that happens is I keep acquiring more!

I currently have a MB 206, supposedly from 1939. It is a button filler, but according to MB numbering system the designation 206 refers to a safety filler pen.

#2- quality of pen, 2XX

#0-model and filling system, X0X

#6-size, big pen XX6.

This is for pens between years of 1934-1990

Should it be a 246 ?

Any thoughts?

The german pens have a rounded Star/snowcap , the danish have a smaller pointy star/snowcap, as seen on the pic.

But one beautiful pen.

A danish MB K2, small button filler, made between and 1937 and 1946.

It is only 10,5 cm long (capped), the last pic shows it alongside a celluloid 142 from the early fifties.

I am glad this thread has been revived. There are some great pens on these pages. Thanks to all for posting your photos.

Maybe it's for the shake of patenting where the mb is made in but the written stuff on the cap and body kinda turn me off :(

Here is my recently acquired MB 204 coral red celluloid pen and pencil set. They come in their original MB box. The nib of the pen is nicely semi-flexible. I am enjoying writing with it along side with my LE ST Dupont pens and vintage Waterman pens with pink nibs. I didn't think I would ever be buying any MB pens, but as soon as I have found out about the vintage flexible MB nibs, I started looking for them.

They were made in Denmark in the early 1950's and I believe the coral red celluloid pens have only been made in 1 to 2 years in those days.
