Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

A danish MB 226 (on the left) next to a danish MB 224, both button fillers. They were made between 1941 and 1954, and came in black, coral red and green marbled like these.

It is difficult to capture the right colour and depth on a photo, they look better in "real" life.

And the size 6 nib on the 226.

Very nice, and interesting 226.

I think they are similar except that your 246 is a piston filler and mine is a button filler, excellent pictures by the way.

Nice pen Soot, i have never seen such one before, looks like a flexible nib.

A real soft flexible nib; there's one other no.4 on page 1. Sunnerd's~

Just received a Danish made Montblanc 214 in excellent condition, It writes well and has a semi-flex nib. Here it is with my coral red 214.
I just noticed that the black one is quite a bit longer than the red one. The seller advertised this as a 214 but it might just be a 216. It has a 4 on the nib but this nib is definitely bigger than the 4 on my 204 (black) and 214 in coral.

I'm late in getting to this topic, but I just acquired a Spanish Montblanc produced by Enrique Wiese in Barcelona. The steel-gray stripes are, I think, called "pijama de rayas" ("striped pajamas") in Spain. The nib is not spectacular, but it writes very nicely in general (see sample), and it's fun owning a piece of Spanish history --these pens were produced during the Franco era in the 1950s.
