Yes - it is that material combination, in the 5 + 1 wrap. Here are some pictures (phone camera)

With 2 pens (TWSBI 580 & Franklin Christoph Model 27) Plenty of room for bigger pens in the slots

Yes, the case is quite stiff, as though it is reinforced with a liner between the outer material and the lining. It is not rigid though, and is very light. The material feels quite robust.
