Atramentopedia - An Apply For Some Notebook

Recommended Posts

Atramentopedia - in Polish "atrament" mean "ink". I started doing it at the end of terribly boring vacation. The first entry comes exactly from 11.08.2013.

The rules quite easy , for each ink are entitled a 'front page' and one sketch. Sometimes, in addition to the base ink I used a black one too.

Notepad is Paperblanks Nocturnelle Grande (size close to A4)

As I started doing it about five months ago. From the pictures did a substantial gallery.

Feel free to watch. The higher resolution image can be found here http://imageshack.us/g/1/10480359/

Yennefer, welcome to FPN !

What a great project you have started. I agree with athenian, your artwork is amazing.

I think my favorite is the PWF Dream Blue. A Beautiful color and a wonderful drawing.

Can't wait to see more from you.

Wow.

These are incredible. I can draw something if it's in front of me, but I am not an illustrator by any stretch of the imagination. Of course you also have me lusting after colors that I think are no longer available (Caran d'ache Storm and Grand Canyon). :wallbash:

A technical question: are these completely done freehand, or is the pen work done after an initial pencil sketch?

I'm always doing a pencil sketch at first. Made with a pen line on paper is not to remove.

As for inks, like C'dA (Colours of the Earth), occasionally it still are in stationary stores.

Thanks Yennefer, they are awesome and I can't wait to see more of your amazing work.

I looked at each one, and selected my payout irate colours without reading the names. I'm delighted that my 2 favourites were inks I already have and love - Diamine Majestic Blue, Pelikan Edelstein Turmaline.

Yeah, this is the most intense and vibrant blue I have ever seen. I have bought it from one member of Polish Fountain Pen Forum (Pióra Wieczne Forum). He made this ink himself and then sell few bottles, it was set of 14 colors.

Great work! I like the Galleon especially because it reminds me of the pen and ink drawings my Father did when he was alive - he loved to draw sail ships of all types.

I really like your work. I think that the one for ink Diamnine PWF Blue Dream is the best.

I wonder what pen you use to make them.

I am using to draw the majority Sailor 1911 Large with HM nib, less frequently I use Pelikan M800 with M nib. When I needed a finer line to draw the details I am using Waterman Carene with F nib or Sheaffer Lifetine Triumph. Sometimes I had used Pilot Parallel Pen with 3,2 or 6 mm nib, brushes and cotton buds to made the background.

Yes, occasionally I dilute ink, for example to make background (in picture for Pelikan Amber, MB Black, Sailor Leaf Green) to do leaves on tree-dragon (Iroshizuku Shin Ryoku) and to visualize some components (Diamine Majestic Blue). Likewise the subtitles in the background in grumpy cat was written with very diluted ink.
