It's Contest Time at The Inkwell!!

As Chinese New Year fast approaches, we thought we would offer a contest to try to start the lunar year with a bang. The first place winner will receive a brand new Jinhao 450 with samples of Iroshizuku Tsukushi (horsetail), Noodler's Dragon Napalm, R&K Helianthus, and Diamine Meadow. A runner up will also get the ink samples.

We tried to pick colors that had some significance and from several brands. It is the year of the horse, so we picked horsetail. Red is a lucky color, dragon's napalm was suggested. Sunflowers represent luck for the year, so helianthus. and because it is the year of the wooden horse, greens and browns are lucky colors, so meadow. Together they formed a nice set and we hope they will go to someone that enjoys them.

So how to enter/win? To enter the contest send a picture or scan of a handwritten copy of your favorite Chinese(or any other Asian) recipe (food, drink, snack, anything!) to insidetheinkwell@gmail.com - this enters you! Feel free to post your entries on the facebook wall of The Inkwell at https://www.facebook.com/groups/419592918166512/. While joining is not required for the contest, we would always encourage people to join us! We would also like to collect these for an inkwell recipe book, if you would not like yours included, please say so. Include a name or username in the email. The names will all be written out on teeny tiny scraps of paper and drawn from a hat/tupperware/vessel. ENTRIES ARE DUE BY 11:59PM EST 1/31/14. Later entries will not be included in the drawing.
