Special batch of Amber select papers with doodles - preferable for you to write to other FPNers using FP inks and post up as Co-Razy Reviews.

Each person who doodles a Pacman character - suitable as an Amber Avatar (Ghost, Pac, Ms. Pac -- whatever), will get a letter from me with at least five sheets of writing paper with a written sample of an ink I am reviewing.

Sheets may be lined papers like this:

Or doodle sheets like this:

This PIF will be open for at least one week.

This was meant to be a bump which didn't work well on the phone. Anyway, I've sent two packages and would love to send more.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

I was finally able to use the PIF that Cynthia was so nice to let me have the chance to win!! I am not sure of what kind of pen it is, I'm sure she will chime in, but I am pleased with it! I hope the picture is not too horrible as well as my writing! I'm sad the color didn't show up very well but it is a very nice shade of blue/turquoise. Even though I was only a winner of two ink samples she threw in even more and the pen! How much does she rock people!!

Thanks again!!

About to PM my submission since I figured you could use some Pac-love for the PIF :)

Dave - nothing to apologize for, it looks good :) I'm so glad you got a syringe (and sorry I didn't have one to send you) and are enjoying the ink. Syo-ro is one of my favorite colors. The pen is a Shaeffer cartridge pen from back in the day. You're very welcome; thanks go to you, too, for making this so fun for me! As Brian Goulet says, "Write on!"

bumpity-boo

one week left

PIF time!

I'm offering a Kaigelu 363 with,I believe, a fine nib. I received this in PIF shortly after joining this site as I was curious about Japanese pens. It is more substantial than I expected (a bonus), but after getting hooked on Esterbrooks, I didn't use it often enough to compel me to keep hold of it.

The pen body, cap and section are all metal: cap and body look to be brushed aluminium with gold colored trim, section is black/gold. It comes with a converter and one cartridge which IIRC is blue. I'm also including a 5ml sample of my favorite blue ink, Noodler's Midway Blue.

This is open to anyone, anywhere. If you're interested, send me a PM. I'll keep it open until August 28th and draw with a random number generator.attachicon.gifIMG_20140815_112358.jpgattachicon.gifIMG_20140815_112446.jpg

This is the first time I've done this so please be gentle with me! Apologies for the terrible photo. My camera is really old and I have zero skills.

For new enthusiasts to the wonderful world of fountain pens the sheer choice, both vintage and modern, can be daunting.

So, here is a pen that is seen by many to be a must-have for any collection: An Esterbrook "J".

This particular specimen comes in many colours but the one I am offering today is an exciting shimmery Copper!

The nib is a fine width model 9556. I found it to be very smooth.

The pen is completely restored.

Okay, the rules of engagement.

1. I would prefer this to go someone who is new to pens. Please let your conscience be your guide.

2. I will ship anywhere on my own dime, but please be aware that it will be the cheapest available option.

3. The closing date for entries is 31th August 2014 - midnight GMT (even though I am in New Zealand!)

4. Names will be written on post-it notes and tacked to a dartboard.

5. Darts will be thrown - blindfolded, and with suitably dramatic music... and possibly while wearing a cape.

6. Winner will announced within one day of closing date, and a PM will be sent.

7. Package will be sent at my earliest convenience - I don't expect any big delays in doing this.

So, what do you have to do to get this little beauty?

PM me!! B)

You guys are not performing monkeys, however, I would appreciate a line or two about why you want it, rather than simply "I want it". (There are no right answers, I'm just curious is all)

(For those interested, the writing was done using a Pilot 78G Broad filled with Diamine Ancient Copper - seemed apposite)

That is one gorgeous pen!! And copper is my favourite "colour". I'm not entering as I don't consider myself new to fountain pens anymore but I sure would love to see you throwing darts, wearing a cape. :)

... I'm not entering for the pen (waaaaaay beyond 'new to pens') but now I'm going to have to hit up Goulet for some Ancient Copper. Dangit, guys, stoppit! My wallet can't take it any more!

New Parker Jotter Stainless Steel Fountain Pen in sealed packet plus a Parker Converter and ink samples x 3 (to be decided by the winner and myself after the draw).

fpn_1407368287__jotter_steel.jpg

This is for a relative Newbie to fountain pens, please no recent PIF winners.

Let me know by PM why you would like this pen, what ink samples you would like and where you live.

This PIF is available Worldwide.

I've had very little interest for this PIF, nobody wanting to use this as a "gateway drug" to addict an unsuspecting Newbie??

Applications on behalf of a non-member seriously considered!!

Sorry - not only do I not qualify, I've finally managed to actually sen the one I had lying around for my newbie cousin to her... They are easy to find even here, and I agree they are nice gateway pens... so I do hope someone will snap it up before long!

Well I think I am still new to pens, I will like to enter on this PIF but my reason are maybe different.

1. I want it ;)

2. Reason: Well I just bought a Red "J" from a wonderful member (less than 2 weeks ago) here and I even went out of my way to get a #2048 nib from ebay..

my mistake was letting my wife test it. Now I no longer have claim over such pretty pen (Red is her favorite color) and she hides it in her purse (Next to her Lamy Safari which I got her to introduce her to FP... That's what I get! ). This being Copper, is close to the Red I used to have and if I get lucky and win, I may have to trick the wife and swap/steal my #2048 back!!

Enter me at your discretion.

Ditto the not new part. All my stuff is pretty much junk, lol and I'm clueless, but someone will be very lucky. (My stuff isn't even good enough for here!)

Nice offering!

So, what's your point?

A couple of points.

a. I do not have access to a video recorder. I don't even know anyone who has one. I may try to get a still picture. Either way the method is the method, you'll have to take my word on it. I wouldn't joke about such serious event!

b. Just noticed the colour in the picture looks a bit more red on the screen than in real life. It's a little browner actually, although the writing is about the right colour. Maybe I just suck at photos?
