I will include a couple of random ink samples (most likely Diamine) with the pen.

I have a somewhat similar Picasso I am probably going to put up as my first PiF, otherwise I would be interested. But I have found myself becoming enamored of vintage Shaeffers as of late and cut down my Chinese pen purchasing.

 

All the same its a lovely pen.

Not that I'm not interested but I've already won a couple of PIFs and would feel guilty entering another one. It looks like a lovely pen. (And I have 5 Jinhao fps coming)

Pens: LAMY Safari Medium Nib with Delta Blue in converter, Bright Yellow LAMY Safari Fine Nib with R&K Helianthus in converter and a Baoer 051 with Deep Dark Purple in, you guessed it, a converter...

In a way, it shows that this thread is working. People aren't trying to take advantage of the system to just get free stuff. I'm glad to see that aspect of this.

"doesn't seem to be much interest" != "not able to give away" at least one person has replied (me), hence my comment above. :)

 

Also, I wonder how much difference being in the UK makes. People don't want to push this so for example, I will *only* respond if I like it, fit the criteria, and it's a person in the UK. If most fo the users are US based, that could easily make UK give a ways a little harder.

I had had 2 responses prior to my Bump post, now 4.

I am offering Worldwide shipping (and always have).

I do want this Baoer 051 pen to go to a relative Newbie.

There will be no problem giving the PIF as the 4 entrants are perfectly acceptable!!

I will draw this on Sunday.

Glad to hear it. I in no way qualify as a Newbie (no matter who's relative I am) and I just won a PIF so wouldn't apply anyway. Thanks so much, alc3261 for your generous PIF's. They're always greatly appreciated. Glad to hear there is interest.

Welcome to this special corner of the FPN. Giving is easy here: you state what you have to give, and who can apply to be the recipient. And you state the rules that will decide who eventually gets what you have to give. And the gifts have been very innovative. Some people have asked for snail mail letters, or for short stories by PM or email; for others, just submitting your username and interest was enough. If you want only newbies to receive your gift, you say so - or just the contrary... it's your rules. And also, you can restrict applicants to your country - or not. Some people do, because of the cost of mailing the gift - others don't. Some have asked for a contribution to cover the extra postage to a different country. The main rule is that it should be fun to give the gift, and fun to receive it...

So, we're all (virtual) ears for your first PiF...

And here is another from me: yesterday at one of the B&M stores here the proprietor gave me a number of cases with old Parker Quink cartridges. They can no longer be sold because they've stood for so long they've lost part of the water that makes up the ink. But they will work perfectly fine if after perforating the seal you use a syringe to top up with water. I will be sharing these locally as well, but I don't see these running out very soon. I've got three colors to give: ruby, emerald, and mocha - so these are not your run of the mill Parker colors. I will give away six sets of the three colors each; each set containing five cartridges of each color. So you get five red, five green, and five brown long Parker cartridges. And to turn things around, I'd like to give this to someone Not in the USA, although I won't exclude anyone - just to even things out a little bit for those of us not in the US... Drop me a PM, and if you don't have a Parker pen to use them in, but still want them, tell me why. (Maybe you aim to extract the ink and use it in another pen? be my guest...)

I will leave this up for a week, and draw the winners next friday (july 25th).

This is awesome! I am BRAND NEW (as you can tell since this is my first ever post). I am just getting in to Fountain Pens. I LOVE this idea .. and this is a great pen. I have already purchased myself a MonteVerde Impressa (which is almost an identical clone to this one) so I don't *need* this one .. but for any other new converts .. these are great pens and you will do yourself a favor in giving it a try!

I wanted to mention a gift offered to me on Reddit (yay for r/fountainpens). I'll soon be getting a Baoer 051 in the mail thanks to a very nice Redditor wanting to help me further delve into this magical hobby. It made me very happy. :lol: Hopefully I can buy a few more, and pass them on to some other newbie pen enthusiasts like me.
