BUMP

I would enter more PIF's, just my concern of appearing greedy (funny because I wouldn't look upon another that way).

A rough idea of my PIF, though I may duplicate or eliminate some.

:P Good luck to whoever tries for that Red Pilot 78G with a Broad Stub :P

Boy that looks like a serious amount of ink, and lots of different colors! I hope you can mix the offerings for people so the receivers get variety... that should be fun.

Howdy,

I'd like to express an opinion before the majority decides to reduce ' talk other than directly related to the PIF '. I've never been a 'fence-sitter' but I can see your POV about the thread being to share PIFs, however, I agree with migo984's thought that a consideration should be the number of posts. ( If that PIFer wants it to be part of the qualifications ). It could a proportional number. If an entrant has been a member a year and has say 15 posts, then that person isn't possibly giving much to the community. Whether posts are asking questions to try to learn or posts to share knowledge.

To get back to sharing a PIF I have 6 Apica (I think A4 size, but I'm not home now so I'll have to check ) tablets, now these are Not the newest upgraded paper, but they are I think about 80g. I will send them to two different homes. PM me with a few words about how you like being a FPN member. This will run until March 9.

aggie

If your out-go is more than your income,

Then your up-keep.

May be your Down-falll!!!

Since the rules are freely set by the people giving items away, anyone can choose to set a post minimum requirement. And I wouldn't blame them for such.

March 9th btw? We're in April 14th :P

Thanks KBeezie,

I did mean May 9th! I normally check my posts 5-6 times. I was careless. Dyslexia reared it's head. And on

those Apica notebooks, A5.

These? http://www.gouletpens.com/Apica_Notebooks_s/1411.htm

(I don't know of the brand I only have a single Rhodia Dotpad and tiny little No.11 Rhodia lined pad, every other paper I have is your basic Mead 5-star, and a decent pack of inkjet printer paper that writes decently).

Okay, Here is the PIF for April, will Be drawn on 30th of april.

A Nightingale, Softbound, STD size(177 × 240 mm) Lay Flat Ruled notebook. The paper is light but really nice, no bleeding, very rare feathering but there is some ghosting. (I wanted to give a Hardbound book but the shipping charges would kill me, so may be some other time :) )

*Note* If the winner is interested in Hindu Mythology and have use for a pocket book i would throw in one of the Vedic Series Pocket size(A7) notebook as well. Not including it with the pif because of its size and design. Add a line or two in the PM as to why you want this. you can see these here. (http://www.flipkart.com/pens-stationery/diaries-notebooks/notebooks/nightingale~brand/pr?p%5B%5D=facets.size%255B%255D%3DA7&p%5B%5D=sort%3Dpopularity&sid=dgv%2Cgas%2Cv3u&ref=d4605c10-b7e8-4b5a-9c0a-a0c8c8220759)

Now the rules, It is open to everyone except for people in India (as they can buy it anyways). I would like you to tell me in a few words, why you would like the notebook and specially if you want the small one as well. As has been the discussion on this thread lately, *Entrant's Discretion is advised*, I will draw by Random.org but will not consider anyone who can not even write up a few lines. I think no one would be offended. I will Post by registered post on my cost but if the winner wants express post it would be nice if they can pay the difference. Even people who have won recently can enter as i want it to go to someone who will enjoy it. But i will again not consider people with less than 20 posts + more than 6 months old or really new (created for the PIf accounts). :)

Quick update on my PIF: I have already packed a few miss-shaped packages/letters.

fpn_1397555773__letters.jpg

I think of them as my creatures, and I may stand at the letterbox shouting: "Fly, my children, fly! Mwhahahahahaha!" Or not. We'll see. If you are one of the lucky recipients, be patient. What with the Easter hollidays coming up, this may take a bit longer. I just hope I put all your requests in the right envelopes...

Anyhow, as you can see, there are still cartridges left. This will remain open until all cartridges are gone. There are still Parker, Parker Mini, international standard, Pilot, Platinum cartridges and something I don't recognize... maybe Parallel Pen?

fpn_1397555782__cartridges2.jpg

Okay, I used to have the Letter Writers Alliance and The Snail Mail Exchange in here. Somehow, my browsers settings and the forum's settings work together to prevent that from being the case at the moment. Whenever I try to update my signature, the whole process breakls down. So. Whatever.

Don't think you need the neighbors wondering even more about you outside the mailbox :P ... though I'd totally do it, scaring the right people amuses me...

How much do those normally run if one were to try to import some from India ?

These would be anywhere between 4 to 20usd. Depending on type of cover, Paper, and design.

I'll have look around for it, might pick some up next month on my next few invoices paid, don't see those designs quite like that around here (some close, but not *quite* like that).

It's TAX day here in the USA, and it's also the day I will announce who wins the bottle of #12 Akkerman Ink (with bonus bottle of Noodlers Bay State Cranberry)! Will post the result later this evening, CST.

I'm not entering any PIFs this year because I was very fortunate to win PIFs last year. So, I said I was going to have PIFs. ^_^ Speaking of which, I will be preparing one for this month. I didn't do one last month. Too busy with school and our center director getting fired. :D

You should enter the Pif if you like the design.... :)

Please forgive me if I offend, to me the point of PIF's is the giving! While I completely understand your reasoning, those who give, including you, do so for selfish reasons; IT MAKES US FEEL GOOD! The chance to be chosen makes it random enough. I for one anticipate the awarding of all the PIF's, not only those I enter. I would be no less happy if you won every one.

You did not offend me but your comment is not what I meant by my statement. I feel that there are SO many others here who deserve a chance to win a PIF especially people who are new to FPN (not necessarily to fountain pens). Plus, I've always wanted to hold PIFs, too. It was just a more opportune time for me to do so because I actually have something I can PIF. ^_^ I love the idea of sharing the wealth albeit mine may be a somewhat limited amount of wealth to PIF away. ^_^;; So, please don't think my statement was made out of obligation. My intent was definitely not meant to be or seem selfish.
