Wow! There are so many wonderful PIFs being offered at the moment. It's great :)

My PIF this week is a medium (A5) Leuchtturm 1917 Academy Pad.

The Academy Pad has the appearance of a standard Leuchtturm notebook but inside contains a pad with 60 removable sheets of pen-friendly, 5mm ruled, 100gsm paper. It has an elastic closure, inside pocket and labels for the spine and front cover. More details here: http://www.bureaudirect.co.uk/leuchtturm-medium-academy-notepad-a5/p3246

To go with the Academy Pad there is also a matching self adhesive black Leuchtturm Pen Loop. Details here http://www.bureaudirect.co.uk/leuchtturm-pen-loop/p2525

I've got a Duke 600 (this pen here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/LuxuryFountain-Pen-Duke-600-blue-Gift-Pen-/221374454919?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item338af21c87 no affiliation, I'm just linking for the pics) and I'm not getting along with it so I'm passing it along. The pen writes between a US/EU F and M, closer to the F, and is fairly dry (nib looks fine and doesn't feel like it's catching anywhere, but it's not as smooth as I like). The pen is sturdy and made well, the balance is a bit too far towards the back for me and it's a bit too heavy, but I prefer lighter pens so if you like pens with a medium weight this is probably great for you!

I'd like to send this to someone who doesn't mind tinkering, and who is in the US, the first person to PM gets the pen.

ETA: Well, that was quick, pen already claimed!

The Monochrome PIF

Hi All,

For my next PIF I thought it would be fun to put together a 'colour' themed collection of stationery. This collection would be useful for everyone, including new or experienced fountain-pen users. It includes a notepad from the brand new 2014 Rhodia White and Silver range. Be one of the first to try this.

This nice little stationery collection comprises:

  • A white and silver Rhodia A5 No.16 top-stapled notepad. 80 sheets of 80gsm white paper, with 7mm pale grey lines and 3cm margin. The subtle ruling, white shiny cover and silver Rhodia logo makes for a very smart pad.
  • A Clairefontaine black, soft-cover stapled notebook. With 48sheets/96 pages of 8mm lined 90gsm paper. No margin. Although this is really an exercise book, the "Age Bag" cover makes it look rather smart.

With the notebooks I'm including:

  • a grey Papelote elastic notebook strap, suitable for A5 size books, with loops to hold 5 pens or pencils. This can obviously be used on any appropriately sized notebook.
  • a shiny black plastic Brunnen 15cm ruler
  • a box of 100 black & white zebra striped plastic covered paperclips
  • a cannister of 6 J. Herbin Perle Noir (Black Pearl) international size ink cartridges
  • one legendary Palomino Blackwing pencil (black) with white eraser (soft graphite makes dark marks - suitable for writing & sketching)
  • one legendary Palomino Blackwing 602 pencil (grey) with black eraser (harder graphite makes dark smooth marks - suitable for writing)

This PIF will be open until 6pm GMT Thursday 27th March . It is open to everyone except those with less than 15 posts. I also won't include anyone who hasn't put any information on their FPN Profile.

I'm not excluding previous winners, but if you have won a PIF in the previous 6 months, please think about whether it's appropriate to enter another PIF draw.

I'm willing to ship world-wide, but please let me know when you enter, where you are located. Entry via PM to me.

Thanks all - I hope you like this PIF.

Received the lovely ink samples from Paul today. Very nicely packed and also included a blunt needle syringe, perfect for ink refills.

I love inks and can never have enough of them :)

Thank you Paul. Much appreciated.

Edit- I reread your post :)
