Congrats, randomthinks! You also win the internet for today for using the word vitriol in a proper sentence.

Thanks for the compliment. I am a chemist (and chemistry professor) so I should be using it properly. It is very dangerous if used improperly. B)

And some people can't use apostrophes correctly. :P. So, I guess I would. I haven't seen vitriol used poorly before. I will keep an eye out for it.

As for ask, it's interesting. Ask was actually "ax" originally, as in Old English, but it shifted to ask by Middle English, and some dialects of English have actually switched back. It's actually the same phenomenon, I think, that causes some people to say hwat instead of what. It was this way originally, but shifted in middle english, and some dialects have either retained it or shifted back.

Strangely, I typically say hwat instead of what. Guess I've spent too much time trying to read Beowulf.

Normally the only time I ever see the word vitriol it is an old reference sulfuric acid. It is, I think, a beautiful and descriptive word that is highly underutilized.

I'm sure that will be fine. If you pour it slowly, the ink will just form separate layers. Like those fancy multi-layer drinks! I don't see anything that could possibly go wrong with your plan.

I have a WIng Sung 333 with what looks like a gold plated Lucky nib that I just don't get along with, so I'd like to pass it along to someone who needs another pen or wants to give a pen to a kid they know. The pen works decently but since I have several pens I can't find a reason to keep it.

The pen has a randomized grid pattern of neonish blue and yellow, pastel green and a few silver patches separated by gold colored lines. The tip of the cap and the end of the barrel are both black, the clip is chrome with a wavy pattern engraved into it, the nib is a solid gold color with Lucky written at the bottom, it uses standard international converters or cartridges and the whole thing is solid plastic so it's fairly light. The converter sometimes has problems with ink tension (but can be replaced by another converter) and the nib is reasonably smooth but does have significant feedback. All in all, it's a decent pen for school or play but not for a professional setting, there were times when I'd have been thrilled to have a pen that looked like this but that was many years ago. :)

I'm open to sending the pen internationally depending on shipping fees. I'll leave the PIF open for 3 days and draw a winner on February 20th.

This PIF is closed. I'll be contacting the winner by PM and shipping the pens probably sometime next week.

Time for my latest PIF!

First up is a Baoer 801 Matt Black. It was delivered about 30 minutes ago. I inked it and decided that I'd prefer to PIF it. It has a great, smooth M nib. However the nib is quite wet so it will need a little adjustment. The build quality is also great with full metal including the barrel thread. The converter seems good as well, it's a bit heavier than you'd expect, but a nice weight. It is slimmer than I was expecting and the metal section is a bit slippery and also thinner than I was expecting. Therefore I don't find it that comfortable and would rather that it goes to someone who will enjoy it. I'd say that it is a fantastic pen for someone who is into slimmer pens. It certainly looks amazing.

Secondly we have the good old Camlin Elegante which is a fairly cheap Indian pen but the price belies the quality. It's got a great F nib and while it is not a metal pen like the Baoer, it is still good quality is trusted by many a fountain pen user. I have two of them and only want to keep one so the other one I will PIF. You can check out the review by Hari317 here: https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/index.php/topic/238179-camlin-elegante/

I will ship either of these pens worldwide. Since they are inexpensive fountain pens, I'd prefer that they go to someone who either can't afford to spend any money on a fountain pen, or has really wanted to try these pens but is not able to get hold of them. The former will get preference. So send me a PM letting me know if you're interested and I will decide in the next week or so. Possibly sooner as I am impatient :D

Is no one interested in these pens? I have not received a single PM so far and as a result, I cry myself to sleep every night :)

I really want them to go to someone who will use them as they are among a few other extra pens that I don't use and are cluttering up the place, so if anyone is interested, please send me a PM.

EDIT: I can ship these pens separately or together so if you only want one let me know.
