I think you're looking back on those with too much nostalgia. Not a big fan of those. But you did remind me of one other reason Canada is good.

In the US, our Cadbury Creme Eggs are made under license from Cadbury by Hershey. Hershey, a few years back, SHRUNK THE AMERICAN EGGS TO 1.2 OUNCES. The original size is 1.4 OUNCES! The commonwealth has Cadbury made, or Cadbury subsidiary made, eggs, which maintain their original size of 1.4 ounces. NO, I AM NOT CRAZY.

EDIT: As pointed out down below, at least one other country, New Zealand, has been hit by the scourge that is 1.2 ounce eggs.

Cadbury in New Zealand is selling the smaller eggs... They also changed the recipe to be more sugary, with less of the orange flavour.

The post above should not be regarded as the absolute and undeniable truth and facts as it may contain the garbled mutterings of an overworked, stressed and nonsensical student who may or may not be on the brink of insanity.
Please regard her with ten grains of salt and stay out of arms reach and at least ten metres away.

Much obliged,

Yumm. Ketchup chips! Everytime I go visit family in Canada I make sure to buy a box to bring back with me of Ketchup chips and Oatmeal crisp. Two things I've not been able to buy in America which really upsets me. I also love how this has branched off to Cadbury and kinder eggs. What I would give for a kinder right about now... Darn you memories!

You know what the worst part about Ketchup chips is? Many of them are made in Detroit, and you can't get them there. Not many people know this, but the Detroit area has a lot of potato chip manufacturers (largest consumer of chips in the country), pop manufacturers, and pizza...manufacturers(?). We're home to Domino's, Hungry Howie's, Little Caesar's, Faygo, Vernor's, Better Made, etcetera. Quite a few of our potato chip companies also distribute in Ontario, and it's relatively easy to run into a "Variety store" and pick up a pack of Uncle Ray's ketchup chips. Made in Detroit. If I GO TO THE UNCLE RAY'S FACTORY, HERE IN DETROIT, I can't even get the stupid chips. I have to go to Ontario. A tragedy. How do I know? I've called and asked.

You know, the word hero is often overused in modern times, but the man who first sells ketchup chips in the US would truly be one. Now that should be a PIF. Ketchup chips.

There we go. Next time I go to Ontario, y'all are all getting ketchup chips as a PIF.

New Black and Red Premium Note Book PIF

Time to take another opportunity to give something back to the forum! I have been using Black and Red books since I was a kid and have found them high quality and good value for money. So this PIF is for one of their latest incarnations an A6 brand new Black by Black and Red book. Its basically black and reds attempt at a high end Moleskin style note book with features including numbered pages, back pocket, 90 gsm Optik paper and book mark ribbon.

This PIF is open internationally with the only restriction being you cant enter if you have won a PIF previously this year. PM me to enter telling me what you would use the book for and I will pick a random entry and post a winner on the 25/02/14.

It will be posted by the cheapest possible way to its new home (reason Im a student).

End of first week Bump. It would be nice to see a few UK or European entrants into the hat got non so far.

Also I wanted reiterate the fact this will be posted by the cheapest possible method if the winner outside Europe it will be Surface mail (up to 60 days wait dependent on location) .

Hi! Just wanted to follow up on the wonderful PIF I received from @jamesgatz - yesterday two ink samples arrived and I cannot even tell you how excited I am for them. :D I'll post another pic once I ink up with the Ku-Jaku, but here's a little scribble I did with the Rouge Hematite:

Sadly, my paper is not one of the ones that shows the gold well, but I'll be trying it on every kind I have in my apartment... ;)

You hit quote, then copy the quote box, then edit your post and paste it into your old post. Should work.

Also, I'm not sure about if they're available in actual brick and mortar stores, but honestly, just buy them online. It's very very cheap. I got 3 colours in 60ml pouches delivered for $20 all up. That's the price of like a single imported Noodler's bottle!

Ahhhh. You're killing me with that picture! Now i want one so much more than i did before.

At least we get these over in America. Those solid chocolate oranges that you smack on the table and they come apart in perfect slices. And they taste like oranges. I could eat 100 of these things a day if only i didn't have diabetes or need my money for other things. I pity any country that doesn't have then, if there are any countries like that.

Awesome! Now we just have to find a fellow FP user in the Netherlands willing to give us Americans a generous PIF of some you know what. ;)

You can always try for the pen and notebook then give the notebook to a girl you know. *shrugs* LOL

That is a beautiful notebook. Wish I could have it! Not the manliest notebook, though. :/
