MIDORI-CLONE PASSPORT SIZE NOTEBOOK

Hi All

My next PIF is for a Midori-clone passport size notebook. It is exactly the same as the notebook in this post except that it is dark brown. It is brand new and unused.

https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/index.php/topic/255121-midori-passport-clone/

It includes a plain notebook and a undated diary insert. It comes in a cream cotton canvas bag.

This is the actual notebook:

This PIF is open to anyone who hasn't won a PIF in the last 12 months. I'd like it to go to someone who hasn't got a Midori notebook cover or similar. Other than that there are no restrictions or eligibility criteria. I will post outside the UK.

If you're interested please send me a PM. The closing date is 6pm GMT Sunday 9th February.

OK people. It's time.

One of my twin teenagers and I have just sat down, had a cup of tea (and slice of cake) and read through the gorgeous responses.

We've come up with a list of winners.

crystal_blue - to you the Rotring Art Pen.

Rui - to you the black Waterman Reflex (it's the one with the cursive italic nib).

pandabirdy1 - to you the Lamy Vista and a speedy recovery.

mhguda - to you the green Waterman Reflex.

Apprenti - to you (or your dad) the Lamy Blue Black ink - which worked a treat in all my Noodler's pens and may sort yours out. ;)

Please PM your shipping details and I'll get them wrapped and packed ASAP.

Phew.

Thanks to everyone who applied for your interest and kind words.

I must however think of another way of doing this as the giving away has left a slight tinge of guilt in my heart. For those who weren't chosen. I'm so sorry.

Hi Tas,

Thank you very much and apologies for not thanking you earlier as I just had a surgical procedure which went fine.

Somehow I get the feeling that this is my lucky year as I have won an Edelstein ink bottle from Pelikan and now I am getting a fountain pen with a cursive italic nib! That is my favourite type of nib.

Thank you very much once again.

Kind regards,

Rui

I forgot to say, I'm going to keep this one open for quite a while so that people have a chance to see it. Maybe until end of Feb, I'll let you know at least a day before I decide.

Lamy Al-star Blue (M) - Caran d'Ache Carbon Black

Parker 95 (M) - Iroshizuku Chiku Rin

Cult Pens by Kaweco (mini) - J. Herbin Eclat de saphir

Half time *BUMP*

Anybody for the ink, any pen turner for the sections?

Not many applications, but yet some competion so here’s the cold wet nose decision:

Violet ink and sections will travel all the way to New Zealand, Dranogaura!

The notebook will go to Top Pen and MINItron will find nibs on his way! I’ve found some more nibs so these are added to the lot.

Please PM your address details and Monday things will be set in motion.

Dank u wel! I can't wait to try out the nibs. There is a neat souvenir nib holder in a local antique store that I have been trying to find a reason to buy.

Several reasons are on their way since today, 15:45 hrs local time :) And so are the other envelopes!

Thanks Tas!

Love the little note. It is a lovely pen and smooth writer.

Yes - it looks like the nib section had put up a fight !- but it's got some nice line variation. :D

I used the Lamy convertor from my Lamy ABC pen - the timber barrel had proved irresistible to my whippet....

Thank you, and I hope to be able to send out something myself this year.

Now that is a pretty demonstrator. I never liked the look of Safaris, but I love that one.

I know of a place near me who sells them, if it was not for the $55 price tag, id give it a whorl.

Agreed, people obviously like it so much that they changed the name. It's now the "Vista".

I have one on the way from Goulet :D

I can't get on with them, glad it's gone to someone who does.

If this is still available, I'd love to be considered.

At the moment I have Higgen's black.

I am a dip pen user if it makes a difference to be eligible.

Thanks!

akkk, too late to edit the above.

Wanted to explain I'm not a true newby to pens, I've been working on my spencerian since 2002 with a couple of standard oblique pens and my gallon of Higgens...

It is only since coming here I've gotten the bug for inks :)
