There's THAT color again! I asked about it before, but entirely lost the thread.. What IS IT? a gold-green? or what?

This is the "head on" photo. Highly concentrated (16%) so it is pretty dark.IMG_20141119_205526.jpg

So, what's the difference with the second photo?

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

this the Same??? as the quite amazing Gold/Green that wows me? whoa, sort of clark kent one way, and SUPERMAN INK capturing my total attention otherwise.. no wonder I could find it again. hmmm anyway to capture more of caped crusader than basic bland murky sepia? or do I have to hold the paper on its edge;)

edited to add, quite a trick having the complimentary color as it's sheen.

or are y'all messing with this tired girl? Can NOT be the same ink. just cant.

Yes, as with any other sheening ink, you need to angle the writing towards a light source to get the photo to capture it. The sheen is just as vibrant in person, but a bit brighter even. Nice sheen will be present down to I believe 8% if I recall correctly. That will lighten up the red a bit if you so prefer. Did you win the PIF?

other than my eyes are twirling like drum majors batons here.. If this ink master achieves exactly the opposite, this lovely green with a red sheen, I'm totally IN!

Just even the actual green. I Like it!

No, the green one sheens differently. This one is RED with a GREEN sheen.

Thanks for explaining.. now I completely understand why the brief view of that wonderful green disappeared and became an illusive search for me, checking every day.. where Is IT !!! (hiding in plain sight, on an angle ;)

In cleaning out the ink drawer (to make room for more ink of course) I came across a couple of Goulet Ink Samples, one in Diamine Syrah and one in Diamine Sapphire Blue. I'll draw for them separately but feel free to enter for both if you like.

It's Thanksgiving Day here in the US so I"ll give this contest the weekend and then draw on Sunday evening.

Rules: Anyone can enter and I'll ship anywhere on the Blue Marble. ;-)

Happy Thanksgiving all!

The Twsbi Diamond 530 PIF is now closed.
There were 36 entries, sans #13 (I left that empty so to not upset anyone)

I will draw and announce the winner shortly

(and post it here)
The draw is done and the winner has been decided: It's #4, dladuke.

Congratulations to you. I have PM'd you already.

To everyone who didn't win: Better luck next time.

So... I will be "inheriting" more Magic Cashmere, so I'm going to keep sharing. In January, the SuperPinks will be testing out more powdered inks. In order to become a SuperPink, you will need to gain experience in testing inks and Powdered inks, but you might asked... What are these ink powders?

This should help answer the question. The powders were developed by Black Stone Ink company and sent to me for testing. Because I love to share the experience, I opened it up to others in this thread. More than 50 FPNers helped test the first four batches of powdered inks - Amber, Balls, Cashmere and Diamond. Here are the results of those tests, sorted by color.

Blue

Blue Batch A = Blue Amber
Blue Batch B = Blue Balls
Blue Batch C = Blue Cashmere
Blue Batch C version 2 = Too Blue Cashmere
Blue Batch D = Blue Diamond

Black

Black Batch A = Black Amber
Black Batch B = Black Balled
Black Batch C = Black Cat
Black Batch D = Black Diamond

Green

Green Batch C = Green Cashmere
Green Batch D = Green Diamond

Red

Red Batch C = Red Cashmere
Red Batch D = Red Diamond

After those tests, only the Cashmere line was distributed for further testing. Attendees of the Toronto Pen show were given three of the Cashmeres (Black, Red and Blue) and beta testers known as the SuperPInks were given sachets of four inks to test (Black, Red and Magic). The Green Cashmere suffered a mixing meltdown and ended up being Magic. Each sachet of Magic is a different color AND it changes color as it dries. ITS DANG COOL and will never be made again.

As for the name SuSeMai - Blackstone was originally the SUper SEcret MAker of Ink. Blackstone said it like Toshiba - like Sue See Mah. DCPritch who thought it was funny that I'm an attorney by day and ink tester by night, says it as So Sue Me. The rest of us just call it AWESOME INK POWDER.

Now... on to the PIF:

First one to PM me with a name and address...
Susemai / Blackstone / Ink Powder

1 Sachet of MAGIC Cashmere.

Rules: If not within the US, you pay actual shipping. You cannot have already won one of these inks.
