I do live across the street from a cemetery.

LOL - well, my guess is that this one would show up in the mail.

Grace and Peace are already yours because God is the Creator of all of life and Jesus Christ the Redeemer of each and every life.

Yes, Art does fantastic work. I've been borrowing Amber's Artified 580 and bought one of my own to send to him. The TWSBI is a fantastic pen that has impressed be a great deal. Someone will be very lucky to win mike's PIF!

I have in my possession not one but TWO of Amber's pens with Art's work on the business end. The man does very nice work. :)

I like quiet neighbours too.

I grew up across from a cemetery. Of course it was during the VietNam war. I attended from a distance a LOT of 21 gun salute funerals for soldiers who gave their lives. At that age the 21 gun salute is cool - you don't get the why really.

Okay, time for this weeks PIF. This time up for grabs is a J. Herbin rollerball pen which uses standard international cartridges. This pen is pretty cool but I'm just not using it. The PIF is open worldwide and ends next friday. No special requirements but please PM me, it's easier for me to keep track of applicants.

That's one I know I wouldn't use either. I'm going to pass this week.

I heard that people are dying to get in across from Amber's.

Hmmm, bunch 'o stoners, eh?

Yes, they are stoners...dying to get into the place...a bunch of dead beats. Mostly a quiet group except on Day of the Dead --- rowdy bunch then.

All jokes aside, it as a kid during the VietNam war era, I remember those funerals. Thankfully, we have had fewer of those lately.

Loaning pens is dangerous for the pocketbook.

Not mine... well okay mine too. I thought I'd run out of pens so I bought more.

Okay....One more for the weekend....

But I've been asked... What are these ink powders?

This should help answer the question. The powders were developed by Black Stone Ink company and sent to me for testing. Because I love to share the experience, I opened it up to others in this thread. More than 50 FPNers helped test the first four batches of powdered inks - Amber, Balls, Cashmere and Diamond. Here are the results of those tests, sorted by color.

Blue

Blue Batch A = Blue Amber
Blue Batch B = Blue Balls
Blue Batch C = Blue Cashmere
Blue Batch C version 2 = Too Blue Cashmere
Blue Batch D = Blue Diamond

Black

Black Batch A = Black Amber
Black Batch B = Black Balled
Black Batch C = Black Cat
Black Batch D = Black Diamond

Green

Green Batch C = Green Cashmere
Green Batch D = Green Diamond

Red

Red Batch C = Red Cashmere
Red Batch D = Red Diamond

After those tests, only the Cashmere line was distributed for further testing. Attendees of the Toronto Pen show were given three of the Cashmeres (Black, Red and Blue) and beta testers known as the SuperPInks were given sachets of four inks to test (Black, Red and Magic). The Green Cashmere suffered a mixing meltdown and ended up being Magic. Each sachet of Magic is a different color AND it changes color as it dries. ITS DANG COOL and will never be made again.

As for the name SuSeMai - Blackstone was originally the SUper SEcret MAker of Ink. Blackstone said it like Toshiba - like Sue See Mah. DCPritch who thought it was funny that I'm an attorney by day and ink tester by night, says it as So Sue Me. The rest of us just call it AWESOME INK POWDER.

Now... on to the PIF:

First one to PM me with a name and address...

Susemai / Blackstone / Ink Powder

1 Sachet of MAGIC Cashmere.

Rules: If not within the US, you pay actual shipping. You cannot have already won one of these inks.

Okay, you convinced me...

One Sellner School Pen in Bright Blue - Pictures to Follow - with a custom ArtsNibs.Com stub.

Pen uses standard or long international cartridge or converter. (The original suffered a horrible staining accident which resulted in failed attempts at rehabilitation which resulted in permanent disfigurement. Thus the converter is NOT included).

Winner will be chosen in one week by Amber's whim. Yes, I know it's not fair. Preference will be given to SuperPinks and GhostBusters (FPNers who have contributed to the Ecto Containment System.)
