This sounds like fun. I'm signing up. Thanks for the nice PIF.

Okay, it's time for this weeks PIF. I'm offering a stainless steel Duke 209 fountain pen with a fude nib. The nib is really interesting, you can use both sides of the bent nib with very different results. The PIF is world wide and ends friday next week.

Edit. No special requirements just a random draw. You get the pen, the converter that came with the pen and a few Diamine cartridges in CultPens deep dark green or imperial purple. There's no box.

The reason I've started doing PIFs is that I have way too many pens and it's nice to release them back into the wild.

Be quick to apply! I own this pen myself, with both the fude and medium nibs, and I love it. It is quite dry, but if you make it a tad wetter you'll have a great pen! It is definitely one of my 3 favorites :) I strongly reccomend this pen tp just about anyone.

Can I participate?

Okay... up for grabs again...

Send me a (PacMan) Ghost (mail the original to me) and I'll mail you back 5 sheets of totally cool paper.

The digital copies get loaded here....and become my Avatars.

A bit late as I thought I uploaded a photo but seemed to have forgotten. Mohawk V/I/A paper is quite cool, indeed. I immediately liked its darker gray tones, which seem to show slightly different hues of color in a variety of inks than on paper I've used before. With certain inks, it even accentuates shading just a tad. It can take a ton of ink with no feathering and minimal showthrough, too!

I'm no longer sure I said Thank you to Amber for the paper - it arrived some time ago, and i have not yet used it. Because not long after, a humongous envelope arrived, with a serious multiple of five sheets of different kinds of paper! And I know I haven't said Thank you for that, Amber, so here goes: Thank you! This paper also has not met my pens, but it will, soon. And because most sheets were the same size, I decided to make a notebook... So far, coverless, but I think I know what to use for one. Once that's done, I will use my special Amberlea notebook - with many, many thanks!

This comes quite late (you've already started another PIF!) but thank you, Thuja. Thank you very, very much. : )

I'm presently in a tiny town in Rajasthan, doing field work. I'd checked my FPN inbox late at night and let loose a half-whisper, half-yay when I read your message. I told one of my roomies the cause of my excitement, and I get the feeling she might be a potential convert. : D

I cannot wait to get back and open your parcel! This will be my first serious fountain pen and I'm a little nervous about that.

Thanks to everyone for your warm wishes! I'll post pictures as soon as I can.

I'd like to throw my name in the hat for this one. TY for sharing and giving us a shot at one of your "wild" pens.

Amberlea, what is that paper? Mohawk VIA.... There are a lot of lines in the VIA line and, as I work in a print shop, I have access to them all.

The offer is still open... draw me an INKY (the ghost from Pacman) avatar, post it on the thread below and mail the original to me and I'll send you atleast 5 sheets of fountain friendly paper and I'll use your image as one of my avatars.

And when she says at least, it's really at least...

As I said, I made a notebook from most of the paper in my envelope. Some would be nicer to use as whole sheets, as they have a design, but the other stuff made a nice, not too thick but not too thin either, notebook.

I've been watching the avatars, and you must have sent out a ton of paper already. Some really nice ones! When inspiration strikes again, you will see it.
