What Would Be A Good Price For A Masterpiece 644G?

Happy New Year everyone!

There is a Masterpiece 644G up for sale around here, and I'm really thinking about it.
The nib is EF and it looks nice, but the piston leaks at the top when its going down. Otherwise it moves smoothly and the pen takes up ink as it should.
So as it seems now, the cork seal needs to be replaced.

So what's one of these worth

And if 1 series pens, ie 14, 146 etc are first tier pens and 2 series pens, ie 24 are second tier pens and 3 series pens ie 34 are third tier pens what are 6 series pens like the 644?

Hi Paul,

That is a good question! I think it can't be a low tier pen with a telescopic piston system. I've read on the board somewhere, that this system was used in the 1 and 2 series pens, but not in the 3 series.

But hopefully someone can correct me.

Looks a nice and well conserved pen !

The 644 pens are definitively first tier pens, equipped with the famous telescopic filler

The telescopic filler was only used on first tier pens, only - a very short time - on the early 2341/2 pens
