Used to carry one pen in pants pocket next to my phone. After a scratched up barrel and loosing a couple pens in my car, I got a pelikan two pen leather case for christmas. Absolutely love it. Its small enough to slide in my front pocket, but robust enough to carry two large pens.

I clip mine on that divider thingy that separates two sections of my working bag while in the train or walking outside. At work, I just carry it in my shirt pocket or failing that (when wearing batik) in my hand or clipped to a notebook.

Each of my fountain pens has become a member of a 'set' suitable for carrying when its turn in rotation comes up; each set resides in its own multi-finger case both for storage and for carry. Sets include at least a fp, mp, bp or rb, sometimes a 'stick' eraser depending on the mp. I've been using cases by Aston, Franklin-Christof, Royce, Levenger (wraps), and Pelikan. Of these I like the Pelikan the best -- fantastic leather. However, I recently 'discovered' cases by Rosetta pen that were half or less that any of the others cost me and have begun using them.

I use a very plain 10-pen zipper case found on fleabay. Probably cost around $15-$20. It's probably a little large for an EDC case for a lot of people. It just lives in my backpack so it's not an issue. I take pains to keep it upright in the bag.

If I have a shirt with a pocket, it goes into the pocket, clipped onto the pocket.

If I have a shirt w/o a pocket (ie polo shirt), I take the Tasche and stick it in my pants pocket next to my wallet.

Wow, lots of awesome responses. As for me, I carry my pens in an eye glass hard case. Fits 2 pens pretty easily. But, I do plan on purchasing myself a proper case one of these days!!

I use the 2 slot Ashton case pictured here, in brown: http://www.worldlux.com/cgi-bin/navigate.cgi?dept=PENAC&brand=ASTO&model=Pen%20Cases&item=AST2BK&source=googleps_sponsor&gclid=COSjl5f49LsCFeHm7AodKikAEA

I like it because of the hard back that keeps the case from bending in the pocket/keeps things from stabbing into the pens from behind.

Quiver two-pen leather holster on the pocket-sized notebook. And usually a two-pen leather case with flap closure (No brand name, got it at a stationery shop in Twin Falls, Idaho. Stopped in and asked the owner if he had any fountain pens, ions or doodads. He was sorry to say his fountain pen customers were all dead or were now using online sources so his stock had not been replenished in decades but he did have a small case in a drawer someplace.)

I ride a recumbent, I play go, I use Macintosh so of course I use a fountain pen.

I carry my EDP (Parker 51 Aero) in a leather Pelikan pen case that I modified to fit a Moleskine notebook. I made a loop using silk ribbon and thread. All it takes is a little sewing experience and some callused thumbs to sew through the leather nicely. The case just slips onto the front cover but is tight enough to stay put. I have carried this with me everyday (and all over the world) for the last five or six years with no troubles.

I now want a pen wrap! Yours is very cool, and I especially like the fabric you used.

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.

in the past i just plopped my pen n my front left pocket with my phone, then i realized my pen was getting scratched more than i would like it to. I received a nice pelikan two pen leather case for Christmas. I am unsure of what i will do with it when it warms up, but for the time being, it sits in my coat pocket, which is zipped at all times.

One of these three is in rotation depending on the situation.

If you can't tell I'm a big fan of Franklin-Christoph.

Thanks for linking these.

These, and Franklin-Christoph's other products, are spectacular. I've been on the hunt for an a5 journal cover that survives passing rain, ideally that could accommodate small and normal size pens, and a semi-rigid/rigid pen case to protect my favourite little vintage pen that I want to take to cafes but is a bit fragile and precious to me to drop in my handbag. The Penvelope 2 looks perfect as it protects nearly the full sides of the pen. I was worried with some leather products that tanning chemicals may not be good for the pens, so the lining in these appeals to me. They look elegant without being over the top. Love the somewhat rugged look and can imagine they will gain character quickly.

Penvelope 2 is out of stock until 1 March, so I'll be keeping my eye on them!

Stanley Howler, what size is that notebook please? I was under the impression that Basildon Bond use some odd sizes and that an A5 notebook will not fit in this case. Can you confirm this?

Hi Cardboard_Tube,

Basildon Bond produce 'Duke' sized writing pads which are: W: 5 3/8" (137mm) x H: 7"(178mm) as per here: http://www.whsmith.co.uk/products/basildon-bond-duke-champagne-watermarked-writing-paper-40-sheets/30492899

They are very FP friendly.

The case is a leather one from, I guess, the late 60s or early 70s, perhaps earlier, that came off ebay (under £10) designed to carry a Duke sized pad and of a size and type that I see selling quite regularly. I had been toying with getting an A5 sized version also but really this Duke size is perfect for travelling with.

Dom

p.s. 'Duke' of course being one of the old standard Imperial paper sizes.
