Hi Lisa!

The top coats are identical but the base tones are different. Here is a picture of the two pens:

The Portable Writer has a slightly darker base compared to the Neo. Leigh also has a string rolled Piccolo in shiro, and that one actually looks more terracotta.

(Pardon the pic. It was taken on the fly and in the wild so there was no time to wipe them down. :) )

Oo, nice! Let me look for my Santa Cruz Pen Posse photos and post them (FINALLY!). (Laughing at myself.)

Hi Ian!

I'll try to get some decent pics next week. Better to use a camera than a phone for such shots.

What nib do you have on your Long Piccolo?

My pen is here : https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/index.php/topic/246156-my-first-nakaya-has-landedok-a-few-weeks-ago-;/

I look forward to seeing your writing samples.

Hi Ian.

I wasn't able to get a good camera so I hope this will do. The paper is 6mm ruled Kokuyo Mio. Ink for the Twist and Decapod is Diamine Prussian Blue. The Naka-Ai is filled with R&K Verdigris while the Neo Standard has a standard Platinum Black cartridge in it.

Belated congratulations, Karlo - they are fantastic (as is the writing sample)!

Currently using:Too many pens inked to list, I must cut back! :) I can guarantee there are flighters, urushi, and/or Sheaffer Vac-fillers in the mix!!!

Hmmmm if 7 was better than 6, then it follows 8 would be better than seven. And what would be better than all my little Naka Ai's having a brother..... maybe a Shiro Tamenuri.... early next week I do believe.....

That Shiro Tamenuri looked awesome in the pics and I'm sure will look even better in the flesh.

Pictures please when your new baby arrives! :)

Yep sure will as soon as it is in my hand.....

I'm trying to determine the perfect ink. I have an LV Gold that might be the one....

Best,

Mike
