Informal Review - Diamine - Merlot

[Beethoven]

So many colors in my ink drawer,
how can I justify buying more?
But looking at your Merlot review,
I’d like to order a bottle or two.

I need not take more time to think,
I’ve made my choice to buy this ink.
I must select a pen to use
to scribe a note in its glorious hues.

Perhaps a new pen I should buy -
an Italix Burgundy that I did spy
which reminds me of a vintage wine,
quite fitting really, for this ink divine.

Or should I fill my old Ahab?
With a flexi nib, I know I’ll have,
a pen to accent with shading lines,
whenever I spread its springy tines.

The colors of this magic ink
do stir my mind and make me think
of the northern lights reflected glow
on the cold Alaska winter snow.

So, that’s the first poem I will write
on a dark and freezing winter night
while high above shines the Aurora’s light
with flame and fire to my delight.
