Is there a final list of inks? I just got home and didn't want to use the wrong ink. Last I saw, it was Akkerman gray for me.

Ok. I will load up my MB 149 B nib pen with the Akkerman 29 gray ink. Or perhaps I should be bold and use the O3B for a month. What do you guys think? Neither pen has ink in it yet.

I am on day 2, and wondering if I should have gone fine, instead of my wet medium......

It is day three, and the hardest thing so far has been making sure I pick my pen up from my handbag at work to write down phone messages etc. Loving the colour and what my Pelikan does with it.

 

I have often felt before that a colour I do not like can take an entire fill of a pen to find common ground with, from there I can learn to at least like if not love it. So I will be very interested to see what multiple fills of one colour as my only colour does with that relationship.

I used my pen for some meeting notes today.

Well, that is the first week over.

 

I only got 1 letter in the last week, so have not had much opportunity to use the black ink. That will surely be rectified in the coming weeks.

 

But even then, for me, who is used to writing letters in multiple colours, it is tougher using just one.

 

I can only compare it to reading a book without chapters, there is no logical break, no place to pause, its just a monochrome mass.

Hey everyone! I finally have an update.... sorry it took so long. I had planned to do one daily, then weekly, then I realized we were at the halfway mark and I haven't posted anything... oops! http://i.imgur.com/OeqKCtJ.jpg?1Wow, this color that appears in the photo definitely isn't what I have on the actually sheet of paper! What I really have is something closer to the light shaded color. Now I want to find an ink that appears like that color, my poor wallet haha!

Full success for me on this challenge. I must admit that I got off a lot more lightly than Ren. Now that it is over I would imagine that the very natural to want to get as far away from the pen and ink as possible as quickly as possible. The strange thing is I still love both, and have refilled it with the same again yesterday. It has also encouraged me to look at selling quite a few of my other pens.

 

How would you like the money? Will I bank transfer it to you? If so can you message me with the details? Did anyone not complete the challenge?

I got away from the gray ASAP. I am still using the pen. I had a nice bottle of Cult Pens Diamine Deep Dark Purple that I had to put away for a month! Yikes!

 

Of course, I just ordered some Pilot/Namiki black from Goulet along with a sample of the CdA black and Monteverde black.
