How To Secure A Loose Nib/feed Collar On Shaeffer Os Balance

Hi

This is my first time asking a question and I hope you all can help. I am fairly new to working on pens. I just purchased a Shaeffer OS balance on eBay and it turns out to have a very loose nib/feed with a very hard collar holding them together. The nib/feed fits very loosly into the section. What is the best way to secure it into the section so it will not leak ink? Did the collar shrink? Can it be replaced? Can I use some adhesive? Any help is very welcome.

I've used Teflon plumbers tape which you will find may work. Just use small amounts until you get a snug fit.
