Monteverde Stylus Fountain Tool Pen.... Thoughts?

Does anyone have any experience with this pen? It is a very intriguing pen for me as an everyday, out-in-the-world pen. I'd love to know how it performs as a fountain pen though before I start to lust after it too much.

Here's a link to it on Goulet (no affiliation) in case you don't know what pen I'm talking about.

I'm using mine right now. Bought it yesterday at the local B&M (Vanness Pens). I really liked the look since I'm an engineer and it appealed to my geeky side. I bought a couple at the Dallas pen show in the ball point version (FP wasn't out yet). Gave one to my daughter and put the other down in my shop to use there. My son-in-law couldn't stand it and bought one for himself. Then I saw the FP version and had to have one of those too!. The FP comes in a Medium nib only and so far is a really smooth writer. I got a converter but I understand you have to be careful not to fill it all the way. For me the pen both in the BP and FP configuration has worked well and is full of fun and gadgets. My son-in-law carries his in a pants pocket for school use. His clip is slightly bent now and the stylus cover has come off. So it may not be as hard core of a carry pen as it is depicted, but overall I like mine.

Thanks for the info! It's disappointing that it's not a little more durable but I think it's worth a shot for me.

I forgot to mention that the cap is very short and there is not much of a section, so you end up holding it up on the hexagonal area of the pen which is metal and a little slippery.

Perry:

How and where did you find the converter ?

I am crazy about the design also. Have yellow ball pen and the fountain pen. Like the heft and finish. Do agree that the clip is a bit flimsy.

Thank you
