Mixing Glycerine In Ink

Drops of what? of any fluid that is mostly water (such as ink). But you have a point that other liquids such as glycerine or dish detergent would have very different size drops.

I put a drop of organic vegetable glycerin in all my non-Japanese inks. These are any Noodler's including BSB, Pelikan, and Private Reserve. I live in the Northeast and have not experienced any ill effects such as mold growth. Earliest adulteration, in a bottle of Noodler's Blue, was about 2 years ago. What I mean by a "drop" is a standard drop from an ordinary glass eye dropper available at drug stores.

 

I put a drop into a whole bottle. In the Noodler's Blue i put 2 drops. The only slightly negative effect in some of the inks is longer dry time but this doesn't bother me bc i'm using the ink for calligraphy.
