Does Anyone Make Tomoe River Inserts For The Regular-Sized Midori Tn?

I love my TN, I love Tomoe River paper. I want to be able to use both at once. Has anyone found any source of Traveler's Notebook regular-sized inserts made from Tomoe River paper?

I've been Googling, but the only things I've found are tutorials for binding your own inserts - unfortunately I am a giant klutz and can be guaranteed to gratuitously mess up any attempt at cutting and sewing paper I start. (Believe me. I've tried.) Now, I'm pretty sure the answer is "no, nobody is making such a thing" - but I'd love it if you could prove me wrong!

If you really really really don't feel up to making our own (good lord, it's so easy!) then the next best idea may be to look for book artists near you. A gazillion folks sew books, sketchbooks, journals, and pamphlets as a hobby. You may find one who will make yours on commission.

I think I recall someone here on FPN saying that the Midori Light refill is or is very similar to Tomoe River.

If I'm remembering correctly there is a FPN user who makes notebooks with Tomoe River paper, isn't there?

I find the light paper insert perfect but would be interested as well...

There are also a few crafters on Etsy who make Midori inserts. Maybe one of them would make a number of them for you, on commission. You may have to supply the paper.

Has anyone asked Jay Potter at paperforfountainpens.com about possibly making these? I'd love some Tomoe River paper in the passport size.

I looked on paperforfountainpens.com and didn't see a contact form aside from the order form. Is FPN the best way to get in touch with him?

I cut TR down to size, fold, and staple down the middle with the long-tail stapler at work: not aethestically perfect, but it does work.

This is some really excellent paper. I've got a couple pads and loose sheets, and I also have a supply of Midori 013 Lightweight Paper Refills. I can't tell the difference.

Once you open the cover and flip over the following page you will be on TR paper, for all intents and purposes. Holds ink, same weight, same texture, same translucency. I'd be amazed if it *weren't* TR.

Does the 013 Lightweight come in passport size? I can't seem to find it anywhere if it does.

No, so far I haven't been able to find any made by anyone. It just doesn't. I finally had to make some of my own and I tell you it was a lot easier than I expected it to be.

I can make these for you, but I don't have Tome River paper in stock. Send me a message and we can work something out.

Hello ... sorry I didn't know there had been extra posts after I posted.

Yes, I am making (and have made) more in 3 different sizes -- pocket size, passport size, and the larger traveler's notebook size. I had to wait for new materials and with this storm, stuff didn't finally arrive until Saturday.
