I almost forgot. Actually I did forget until now. Blue Steel is supposed to resemble the color of blued steel. It is commonly used on firearms.

Amberleadavis: recently saw your review of Noodler's Blue Steel. Thought I would love it. My bottle just arrived and I have used it all morning. I do love it. Thank you for you exhaustive and imaginative review.

Blued steel can appear from green to sky blue to the commonly known steel blue, depending on the temperature. My bottle of Blue Steel appears more green than in Amber's scan, but it's a well-behaved ink that I really like. Now I wish Dromgoole's still sells the complete Texas line of inks, especially Pecan and Comanche Rouge.

He (Larry Dromgoole of Dromgoole's) had Pecan back in stock...I think. He will never again get Tanned Armadillo or Comanche Rouge (which I loved).
