I don't anticipate my Safari collection growing too much bigger (don't quote me on that though)…but I did put a WTB ad in the classifieds this morning for that brown bear pen. It's kind of hard to resist the little guy.

I'm really excited to post in this thread as my collection has grown today.

Wow! How much did you paid for the Terracota and Savannah green pens? Where did you find them?

I'm starting to see this graphic/photo on the web.

I know I'm going to want them, anyone else?

AFAIK these were specific for Korea.

But I guess I would like some if they were available here in the Netherlands.

I'll ask my B&M if he knows about them.

My lonely two Lamys, Vista & Studio, both EF nibs as anything wider feels enormous and clumsy to me.

I would love to get the gold nib for my Studio; it has just the most beautiful lines to my mind, sleek and clean with a simple nib, and I love the propellor twist to the clip. It deserves a gold nib, dammit!

(Speaking of that clip, I should have thought to polish it over with a tissue before the shot..)

As a hook-handed left-hander, I'll never know what it is to write smoothly with an EF nib. They're forever a scratchy experience to me.

Who knows what ink lurks in the hearts of pen? The Shadow knows!

I admire your courage for picking up a fountain pen at all, oh inky pawed one.

My updated collection. Gosh, so many still to go!!

Beautiful set so far! I've got some catching up to do as I have even less.

Indeed, but what a selection of pens you've got! Drooling over them!

Someday, sometime I'll find the transitional model with the current yellow body but with a black clip. Quite an elusive pen!

I do not recall that pen... it's the soft or pale yellow from two pens in your picture? Maybe it's because I lost interest when Lamy change the nibs and clips of the Safari from black to chrome. In a few colors of the Al-Star makes perfect sense though...

It's the current yellow pen but with black clip and nib. It came just before Lamy switched the entire line to chrome clips. I've seen pretty few of them in the hands of collectors. Never seen one for sale.

Try in Plufi, a B&M store in San Jeronimo shopping mall, in front of a vehicle repair shop. They usually have all their old stock waiting to be sold along with all the new stuff... I've purchased a few Lamy and Caran d'Ache old items.
