Appalling Quality Control By Noodler's

"Not much" is relative, they are more expensive than many other very reliable pens.

I can get many very good pens cheaper where I'm sure not to face such issues, e.g. Lamy Safari, Pelikan Pelikano, Parker Vector, Rotring Artpen,......

So the price is for sure no excuse to sell non functional or low-grade products...

Good point dinosaur dude.

Huh, what do ya know. Just bought two more Ahabs to use with my Brause Rose dip nibs. One works perfectly, the other is a total lemon. Whoever cut the feed was obviously not paying attention, as the slit down the center is about half a centimetre off center, and so the pen burps and dries up. To add insult to injury, the threads of the converter slip when I try to screw it in, meaning that I got a hell of a lot of ink on my hands and paper when the seal failed.

I'd love to hear Nathan's feeble excuses if he's ever confronted with the reality that he's taking advantage of a niche market (flex nibs) and not giving a toss about his consumers. Just like when he was trying to "prove" that BSB didn't stain pens and wouldn't feather on copy paper, he claimed that anyone who had had a bad experience was simply prejudiced against him.

Whatever happened to doing honest business? Not happy, Mr. Tardif.

My Vintages:

Sheaffer Triumph, Saratoga, Targa Slim and Targa Standard; Waterman 3V and 52 1/2V; Mabie Todd Swan Self Filler x 2; Eagle Unbreakable in sterling silver; Eversharp Bantam; Parker Duofold Lucky Curve BCHR and Duofold in red hard rubber; Spors Co. glass nib pens x 4; Conklin 2NL and 20P.

Score for me. 2 for 3 Konrads. 1 for 3 Ahabs. Picked up a couple of Goulet nibs and now 3 for 6 total.
