Weird Looking Nos Duofold

Penne Stilografiche

I just saw this so-called "unused Parker Duofold", although it does not look like any Duofold I have ever seen. Since it's from a trusted seller, I decided to buy it. Is it original or a frankenfold and did I get a good deal on it?

Since I do not feel like making 2 threads, can anyone tell me approx. when this display piece was made?

Thanks,

Vincenzo

That cap just looks wrong as does the clip. The description says its a slip on cap as well, is that correct as all bar the 17 Super Duofold where screw fitting caps IIRC.

I know its a respected seller who knows his stuff but this one does wave a few red flags to me, cap, clip, cap fitting and the Nib.

The Canadians keep throwing up the oddball pens.

The clip is VS or Duovac style or Challenger series but after WW2 the Canadians were apparently using up parts so .....

I see a Parker made pen using parts from stock during the transition period when Vacumatic was phased out VS came and went and NS Duofold was produced in Europe!

A Canadian NS Duofold with a Limited production run and probably to be described as a rarity.

David Isaacson will I suspect have all the proper info!

Cheers

Dave

The pen you've bought is perfectly original. I have the same exact pen in blue. It's a canadian design made in 1948. There was another thread on this forum about this rare model some time ago, I just couldn't find it.
