I've had the oil in Diamine's Royal Blue and I found it definitely interfered with the performance of the ink - it made the nib slide and the pigment didn't lay down on the paper - so much so that I got rid of the bottle.

Wouldn't it be great if Nakaya used TWSBI piston fillers instead of Platinum cartridge converters?
