You have a slow deliberate and thoughtful way to face every situation.

All the items you make are beautiful and a joy for people who own them.

+1

Every single piece you show looks so beautiful and like it is going to last for decades.

As we approach the end of 2023 many of you may have worked out that my grand plans for celebrating my 10th year of leatherworking and pen case making. Have not gone as planned.

I have been working in and around healthcare since my life changing accindent in 2004. In October 2022 I was invited to give a keynote speech at the National Patient Experience awards.

Following this speech I was approached by a group od cancer patients called Northern Cancer Voices, They use volunteers to survey patients and gather their experiences which are fed into the NHS for service improvement. They asked me to help them to digitise their information flow and start the process of becoming a registered Charity.

My daughter is a data specialist and has created a digital survey tool which uses Microsoft tools and Azure systems to process the data in the cloud via virtual machines, Power B I produces reports in a langauge the NHS understands. It is a very cost effective method of providing data.
Currently each individual Trust surveys patients and there is a national survey once per year with the results following 1 year later. We plan to cover the whole region providing data monthly to the Trusts at no cost.

I am also pleased to say we were granted Charity status in England and Wales on the 1st November. This means lots of challanges as we seek to expand our operations across the North of England.

Clearly this has lead to a reduction in the amount of other work I have been able to carry out. I do hope to return to making in 2024 once the charity is more stable.

We now have a just giving page.

As a cancer survivor, I say this is great news and send my gratitude to you and your daughter for the work you have done.  I also send my best wishes you both for your future work for the Trust.

Congratulations on the Charity's status!

Every work you do from making cases to gather data to help people heal and feel better is loving care work.

Thank you so very much for sharing this beautiful family work!

Is it fair for an intelligent and family oriented mammal to be separated from his/her family and spend his/her life starved in a concrete jail?
